Veteran's Day was created for a reason. WW I just ended and it was a way the President wanted to remember everyone who served in the military. No one at that time thought it was a dikk move.
So fast forward almost 90 years later, it's a different time now but we still have the federal holiday.
I mean, I know some who served, but they never saw action of any kind or even risked their lives, or even came close to risking their lives. You could say, "Man, you didn't risk anything. All you did was fix trucks or all you did was paperwork. Veterans' Day is a joke."
But, I know some who were in real combat and literally risked their lives. It's like, "Chit bro, I hope you don't have PTSD."
So across the board, we observe Veterans Day for everyone, regardless of if they saw action or not. Let them have their day.
