coli nikkas have a bunch of :flabbynsick: if the shyt aint boom bap and a nikka sounding like he from NY or east. They dont fukk with it

I'm biased too but sometimes you just have to allow yourself to not be bitter and enjoy different lanes for what they are...If someone makes something fun and entertaining you don't have to dissect every damn lyric or call it wack...just bounce to it...I am not a fan of lil pump or lil yachty but that doesn't mean I won't stream and enjoy fun good stuff from them when i'm feeling that energy of just wanting to vibe, chill, or dance

Nobody wants to hear grown, mature content from Waka. Hiphop is the main genre where you pretty much have to finish the same way you started:

Hip-hop Is the Main Genre Where Its Career Suicide To Mature As A Person

If you come in the game on some ignorant street shyt, that's pretty much how the fans want you to stay.

Maturing in hip-hop is career suicide and will get you laughed at and ridiculed.

Extremely backwards.

Jay-Z's Earnings: $76.5 Million In 2018
Calvin Harris Earnings: $48 Million In 2018

Consider that the top 10 rappers are 8 African Americans, 1 hispanic and 1 Canadian American :wow:
The top 10 EDM are from all over the world, we're talking Japan, US, South America, Northern, Southern Europe, UK and on.
I said ONE year, not THIS year

The year I was talking about was right after we found love came out

Also, I doubt all of Jay's earnings came from rap

Someone like drake would be a better measure. What did he make this year?

I don't know the only thing I knows is that the top 10 African American rappers made 140 million more than the top 10 DJs from all over the world :yeshrug:

I don't think the game changed a lot since 2016.

I didn't question Calvin Harris earnings that one year, I'm questioning you saying that they make more bread than rappers by referencing Calvin Harris. I'm a big "electronic music" head though (minus the trash people like Calvin Harris or anyone you would find on a Forbes list), so I know that the lower level musicians make quite good bread cause they can perform in big clubs every weekend. While lower level rappers can't.

Im one of those guys. But I've heard Flocka have some moments of brilliance and his influence is definitely there as much in NY rap as it is down south.

But you're including people like Jay Z which is disingenuous

Jay Z always makes the forbes list, why aren't you discounting him as a legitimate artist??

Because you have an agenda

We can go into the specifics of why rappers don't make as much as djs if you want to though

Just let me know

And you're definitely not an "electronic music" head so don't lie to yourself

tfw your mom makes you pretend to be a rapper so you do it and find marginal success, until your best friend blows up 1000 times more than you, while you continue to go nowhere, until eventually you "retire" from a game you were only a bench warmer for.

:mjlol:

"I'm an adult" implying hip-hop is for children, as if people like Madlib, Pete Rock, the Roots didn't continue to mature their craft.

Good riddance, the fukk kinda name is Waka Flocka Flame anyways :camby:
