Depends on what’s being argued/embraced. You got 4 demographics:
  • New school neck beards (the past 20 years)
  • Old school neck beards (the 50 years before that)
  • The “internet” (hops on whatever trend)
  • And the rest of the world (that make up like 98% of movie goers)
New and old school bytching at each other or parroting holier than thou narratives is whatever. The big wig execs just want to cash-in on the 98%’ers who didn’t know what “Wakanda” was pre-2016/2018; and the internet will be an echo chamber/bandwagoner for how successful or unsuccessful they are.

A lot of the MCU was based on what new school neckbeards grew up on, from Bendis to Hickman. Some of it subtle, others more obvious like what the Russos chose to do. With the F4, all that really matters is how the 98%ers embrace the interpretation they go with… because (if successful/viral)that will be the new mainstream norm regardless of how neckbeard’s feel.
