Los Ingobernables de Sala de Cine
Godzilla is a monster that rampages through cities. If you don't understand how that's different from the O.G. superhero, iconic for protecting every life he can, then yeah... end of story.
This. Superman has been involved in fights that level buildings and destroy good chunks of cities(resulting in who knows how many deaths) countless times through all the mediums he's been depicted in. This is just people that didn't want to like the movie and don't like the character looking for something to complain about. Same losers watched Avengers likeBecause people watched Man of Steel with an agenda.
Because Godzilla is a monster and doesn't give a fukk/doesn't know better and most of the cast of "Captain America" is humans. Captain America is the strongest character in that movie and even he can't do jack shyt against a helicarrier dropping out the sky.
Superman has the power to control exactly how much damage he does....he should know better....and yet he chose to punch people through buildings. So nah it's not the same thing man.
Fred.
Those helicarriers weren't just dropping for no reason...Captain America's big master plan in Winter Soldier was to crash those helicarriers over greater Washington DC; and let's not forget that he and his crew kept getting into firefight after firefight in areas crowded with civilians.Because Godzilla is a monster and doesn't give a fukk/doesn't know better and most of the cast of "Captain America" is humans. How do you dudes not understand that this was his first time ever dealing with another super powered being? You're expecting veteran fukking Superman saving citizens and fighting enemies at the same damn time. I think they said they're going to address the destruction and shyt in future movies:AustinWhat:
@ this struggle thread. Godzilla is meant to cause destruction(that's his purpose), The future setting in X-MEN was a dystopia and was actually a major plot point in the film. Superman destroys half of the city himself mans was throwing Zod through buildings , Zod kicks an oil tanker at him and instead of throwing it into the sky, mans simply hovers over it and lets it explode in the background, despite civilians being in the area .
This faux outrage over the damage that occurs in MOS is probably the most disingenuous complaint I've heard over a comic book movie (which is saying a lot). If you have an inkling of familiarity with the character you'd know this shyt has happened a lot. Minus Kryptonite, you're going to need amazingly powerful foes if you're trying to believably put Supes in peril. That's only gonna lead to DBZ levels of destruction. The destruction in MOS is to a grander scale but that should be expected: it's a blockbuster summer movie with a huge budget.

In Avengers you had giant snake monsters and an army of aliens attacking NYC in the middle of the day during a work week yet no civilians got hurt? And while Cap/Widow/Hawkeye tried to do damage control, Thor/Iron man/Hulk gave no thought to innocent bystanders while they were fighting.
Now I could give less than a fukk about all of this damage of property and casual loss of innocent life but the folks who have had a bug up their asses about Man of Steel for a year now need to keep it real and whine about it in all of these super-hero movies if it bothered them so much in MoS.
Why bring it up, it's the same fakkits in here that hate on every movie. I just pay them no mind and toss their opinion to the bushes. My one regret was listening to them fakkits before seeing the movie that's why from now one I see a movie 1st then come in here and see the usual suspects bytching
