To have something to do other than count sand. Indio is where old people go, because there isn't anything to do but go to the local casinos or golf and country clubs. Young people aren't going to Indio in droves because its not for them. Its for wrinkles. There is an infinite amount of things to do in and around LA.

LMAO,u nikkas know nothing about southern CA at all..Who the fukk wants to live in shytty ass LA where it's clutter, smelly, and traffic? lol wtf? Indio is near EVERYTHING. 2 hrs from mexico, 3 from vegas, hour and half from crappy LA,beaches, ect. But yeah, everyone wants to live in good ol' LA....

And LOL@ indio being for old people.

yea, they gonna throw the biggest music festival in an area full of old people :snoop:

oh btw,in Covina, outside of LA,u can get a 2 bedroom for $800. so there's your reply to the original post

SoCal born and raised pal. Indio is near nothing. Its in the middle of the desert. The only reason they have "the biggest music festival" out there is because there is nobody out there. Where else would a promoter throw a gigantic three day party full of liquor and drugs? In the middle of the city? As it is, residents around the Rose Bowl are complaining about the upcoming Jay Z and Beyonce concert there, and thats just a show for one night. You're really overestimating the value of fukking Indio dude. Indio. Think about that. Its cheap out there for a reason. Because it has to be to attract people there. What is the job market? Golfing caddie? Casino worker? Sand blower? Indio. This guy is hyping up fukking Indio. Never thought I'd see the day. Tell me, what kind of bboy shyt do they got going on in Indio?

:what:

im not hyping the fukk outta indio, all im saying is that LA is not the only thing in southern cali if u looking to move out here...I already said even the outskirts of LA like Covina have places much cheaper then $1500 which proves my point in the first place. So again, who the fukk is paying $1500 to live in So. Cal? :dahell:

What do y'all think about the bul at my work? 46 and not trying to move out, and doesn't have a car/driver's license. Now THAT'S a little odd, unless you absolutely just can't afford it (which he can).

theres a method to everyone's madness.

maybe his travel is convenient or hes not good behind the wheel.:manny:

smart move

u'll have a lot of nikkas hating but u doing it right as long as u helping out with bills and shyt

I've seen so many broke nikkas here in california move out of there parents house only to move into apartments where they paying 1500 a month in rent and there monthly income is questionable, BUT HEY I MOVED OUT ON MY OWN, because that's what society tells me to do.

I see asians and hispanics staying at home stacking money up while nikkas and whites out here struggling and barley can afford rent cause they trying to impress motherfukkers

:salute: to u homie
I see this shyt on the regular. :wow:

Well he said he lives within walking distance of work, so obviously he doesn't need a car for that...but if you go anywhere besides work (which I'm assuming most people do), then it would be a pain in the ass having to rely on other people to drive you places...what are you gonna have your parents drive you to the mall when you're 46? (not YOU, just people in general).

Not to be a dikk or anything, but at a certain age, I don't see how anyone could be content not having a driver's license...unless you live in New York City or some shyt, where it's almost pointless to even drive ANYWHERE.

well where do yall live?

maybe he knows alot of people he can get rides off of, and/or the public transportation to his destinations are convenient to the point where a car may be nothin but a money-pit. cuz dude already won most of the battle by being able to walk to work.

i didnt actually get a license until i moved down south and realized how different it is from big east coast city life. you literally NEED a car in most cities/towns down there. before that, the most i would do was ride dirty here-n-there. saved a ton of money.

We live right on the border of Northeast Philly and the burbs, and the thing about the burbs is, there ain't much public transportation. Since he lives on the very border of Philly, there are a FEW buses, but not many.

I haven't taken a bus in years, probably since I was like 16 or some shyt...but I know a few people who live like 10-15 minutes from their work (driving), but don't have a car, so because of having to take the bus, it takes like an hour and a half-two hours for them to get home. :patrice:fukk that shyt...that alone would make me wanna get a car. I mean yeah, obviously you save money if you don't drive/have a car, especially with gas being such a fukking rip-off...but I'd rather just be able to get to where I gotta be, WHEN I gotta be there. Everyone's different though. :yeshrug:

Same shyt where I am. I live in NJ and normally it would take approximately 15-20 minutes to get from my house to my hospital workplace in the Bronx if I had a car.

It always takes me over an hour and 30 minutes because NJ Transit public transportation is crap. Plus that also includes 8 more crowded stops at the NYC MTA buses I have to take after I arrive in NY to get to work.

I'm currently saving for a car. I can't take this shyt no more.

I'm saying.

Like I said, I ain't taken a bus since I was probably about 16 or so...before I got my license, I would either walk to where I had to go (if it was within walking distance), or get a ride from someone. But as an adult? I would NEVER wanna have to rely on someone else all the time to take me places, be it public transportation or otherwise...especially when you see some of the fukking weirdo's/retards that take Septa.
