the ether
im sayin if kawhi goes there's and he win's 3 more...its a cakewalk...dont act like its gonna be some herculean effort like some A.I. against the lakers 2001 shyt :mjlol:

You don't even know what their roster is or who their opponents will be or who will be healthy or anything about how it plays out. :what:

Did anyone guess that it was going to take Herculean efforts from Bron for them to win the title in 2012? :usure:

Durant joining the already 73-win Warriors was clearly going to be a cakewalk as long as everyone stayed healthy. That's the only time that's happened. And even then guys started getting hurt and players like Iggy and Draymond took a step back sooner than anyone saw coming. Every other time a newly-formed team has been pre-annointed it's turned out to be a lot more difficult than it looked.

Just last year people was saying that LeBron was washed, couldn't play defense, is a net negative, doesn't even deserve to make the All-NBA team, etc. There were posters here calling AD the Black Kevin Love and saying he was an overrated stat-stuffer who never wins. (Randomly haters used that nickname for AD and LBJ last year). Not to mention that AD usually only plays about 65-68 games a season. Kawhi only played 60 games last year and could easily take a turn for the worse. And the rest of the roster could be trash. You don't actually have any idea how this is going to go.

Plus Warriors are sitting back right there people writing them off as if they don't have four all-stars on the roster. Bucks still the team that won 60 games last year and now they are coming back playoff hardened. And I wouldn't bet on it but that starting lineup for the Sixers has 5 different guys who could potentially make an all-star team next year anchored around a center who some people were calling the best player in the NBA during the season.

You don't know how things will go. At least let the lineups settle and the bookies lay down the odds first. Warriors were 5/8 odds in 2018, you think the Lakers gonna touch that?

Last year’s Lakers are irrelevant to this year. Regardless of how good or bad they were. They have a completely different roster.

The Celtics have won one title in the last 33 seasons, people hate them off GP because they hate Boston. There is no real success to be jealous of. Furthermore, the Celtics were never considered a major threat before they got Kyrie & Hayward, and even after they got them most people still thought they couldn’t beat the Cavs. To say otherwise is revisionist history.

Even if he is playing with two superstars, is the load really lightened if he’s not playing less minutes? And I’m not saying going to the Lakers wouldn’t be beneficial. But it’s not like the Raptors were on some 2001 Sixers shyt.

Like who? Rondo, KCP & Lance? :heh:

And a completely different roster with a bunch of players learning each other will come with its challenges. We don’t have the advantage of the continuity that the Celtics had in the example I gave. Btw, love how you admitted how washed Celtics are. Championship every 20+ year average. :russ:

Are you missing the fact that Kawhi will have LeBron and AD also? Like I said, all three aren’t going to load manage at the same damn time. Different guys take games off. Simple solution to replicate what Toronto has.

:ohhh::ohhh::ohhh: so thats what it was...laker fan's can yall attest to this ? the heat hate was only cuz kobe was there ? even tho we never crossed path's in the finals ? i dont see what's the difference ? he's still a threat to pass kobe in rings esp if kawhi come's and he's doin it on yall goat's team :ohhh:
A lot of the Lakers fans on here are Laker fans first and foremost. We'll hate on Lebron but once he joins the team if he brings rings we won't give a fukk about the Lebron vs Kobe arguments.

The Celtics didn’t really have continuity. They only kept 4 players from the IT squad after adding Kyrie & Hayward.

We gave y’all a 30 year grace period to pass us up and you still couldn’t do it

Fam I’m not saying the Lakers can’t/won’t be able to load manage. I just think people are exaggerating how much he had to carry in Toronto.

We appreciate that grace period breh, we’ll be passing you all in that department shortly.

I get what you’re saying, but that’s also underestimating the rest of the East. We can all admit that a lot of luck played a part in the Raptors winning so if that’s the case why risk it on the chance you might get that much unbelievable luck next year. A surer bet is the Lakers.

Chris Paul talked about the difference of playing with the Clippers where he had to do so much versus the Rockets. He said playing with the Rockets was like playing a pickup game because he wasn't having to create every time down and could pick and choose his spots. There is definitely a lightened load if the ball isn't in your hand every play and you're having to fight through defenses versus being setup for open shots with the occasional creating.
