Not just LeBron, the Lakers as an organization are like a dog whistle to bum ass jealous ass do nothing ass teams. No one batted an eye when Ainge got Kyrie in spite the fact that Boston has a success rate similar to the Lakers. When CP3 was gettin traded to the Lakers every bytchmade owner in the league cried until he got sent to the clippers instead. I’m sure CP3 really appreciates that.

Truth be told, all this guilt trippin the media is on is some totally selfish shyt. I’ve yet to hear any point from them on how it helps Kawhi to go back to Toronto or play for the clips other than stupid ass legacy arguments he’s already proven himself in.

Like they just want competitive balance for their own entertainment instead of considering that Kawhi got a degenerative condition and might need to lighten the load to prolong his career, or that his star is at its highest peak and his off court opportunities are more vast with the Lakers over any other team. He could be a part of a legendary, prolific team and go down in basketball lore or just resign to tdot or sign with the clippers and be a blip on the map of sports history. Nah, all I’m hearing is “Wah wah wah, it’s not fair, Lakers always win, why LeBron get another superteam?” fukk outta here, sounding like some bytches.

The Celtics were too busy being shytted on for being “disloyal” to IT for people to worry about what Kyrie did for title aspirations.

And I don’t get this “lighten the load” argument. The Raptors were a near 60-win team with Kawhi sitting out 1/3 of the regular season. They legitimately had a better winning percentage in games he sat out. The Lakers gonna do that? With no depth, and two stars who may need load management themselves?

the ether
he aint mj nikka and the more super teams he forms like tornado's the more it proves our point....all this to win rings against inferior competition but keep actin stupid

When has LeBron ever won a ring against inferior competition? :gucci:

I swear someone need to be monitoring you folk for symptoms of a stroke or something. Y'all freaking out like nothing I ever seen.

The only argument would be Kareem, who was on his last legs.

McHale and Pippen were not top 5 NBA players
:laff:

Kareem won NBA MVP the first year he played with Magic. He made the next TEN all-star games alongside Magic, was winning Finals MVP in his 6th season with Magic and still making 1st-team All-NBA and top-5 in MVP voting in his 7th season with Magic.

You said last legs. :deadrose:

Pippen was borderline top-5 - he was 3rd in MVP voting the year Mike left and 5th in MVP voting in 1996, made three straight 1st-team All-NBA teams. Only players who were clearly above him at his prime were MJ, Dream, and the Admiral. He was definitely a better fit alongside MJ than anyone other than those two would have been.

Saying two top-5 is unprecedented as if Durant/Steph/Klay/Draymond, Shaq/Kobe, MJ/Pippen, Kareem/Magic, Wilt/West/Baylor, and Russell/Jones/Havlicek never happened. :heh:

You stay shyt posting. Do you man.

That doesn’t change the fact that the Celtics have had lots of success in the past. And again, that only points to a bias in general. People spoke glowingly about the Celtics moves like they weren’t already a major threat before that. God forbid if the Lakers have three superstars after years of being trash tho. Let clowns tell it, last years team won 73 games or something.

What don’t you get about the lighten the load argument? Kawhi would be playing with two other superstars so it won’t all be on him to carry the load. Simple. You acting like all three will load manage on nights, obviously you just play two out of the three on certain nights and all three against trash teams and if we’ve got a strong record.

Yeah the Raptors did a lot last season, but that was last season. Should he risk having the drag the team on one leg again just so people can gush and give you glory points? There are still many good role players on the market breh, the hyperbole that the team will be thin is bullshyt. Players are waiting on Kawhi’s move to see if they’ll sign for the low to get on a surefire championship.

I swear y’all sound ridiculous.

i can't speak for other lakers fans, but i always had beef with lebron dating back to his first cavs run once he got anointed while kobe was still winning championships.

the day kobe retired, i acknowledged lebron was the best player in the league, he was still with the cavs. you can't deny greatness. :yeshrug:

dude rewarded my new found appreciation by beating the warriors in the finals that year. :wow:

then a couple years later he actually came and joined the GOAT franchise. bless up. :wow:

The heats hate was because of Shaq and how he was showing love that he wouldn’t show to Kobe or the Lakers. Dissed the fans. Yeah it all started with Shaq. The hate later on had more to do with LeBron stans.

Last year’s Lakers are irrelevant to this year. Regardless of how good or bad they were. They have a completely different roster.

The Celtics have won one title in the last 33 seasons, people hate them off GP because they hate Boston. There is no real success to be jealous of. Furthermore, the Celtics were never considered a major threat before they got Kyrie & Hayward, and even after they got them most people still thought they couldn’t beat the Cavs. To say otherwise is revisionist history.

Even if he is playing with two superstars, is the load really lightened if he’s not playing less minutes? And I’m not saying going to the Lakers wouldn’t be beneficial. But it’s not like the Raptors were on some 2001 Sixers shyt.

Like who? Rondo, KCP & Lance? :heh:
