The Cavs are a smallball team :ld: they were actually smaller than the Warriors last year and with the loss of Mozgov they're even smaller this year. Right now the Warriors don't have a center that can defend and it puts a huge strain on Green to cover for everyone else.

Nah, the difference in centers this year and last is huge, last year when Bogut didn't play they still had Ezeli, those two held opponents to 45% and 44% at the rim, even Speights was decent at 49%. The league leader last year was Gobert at 41%, Bogut was an elite defender last year, and Ezeli was good as well. This year Green is still elite holding opponents to 43%, but the problem is Zaza....teams are shooting 61% at the rim vs him, and the supposed big signing of JaVale McGee like @G.O.A.T Squad Spokesman is giving up 75% :scust:

They have a huge problem with their centers, they went from having an excellent defensive rotation of bigs, to having just one undersized PF who is elite but cannot make up for having a sieve next to him.
People I know almost had me believing McGee changed and was going to be consistent after the preseason:francis:

I'm noticing a pattern here. :jbhmm:

Golden State loses: "They have no bench, no size, there bigs suck, they don't play defense, X team is gonna destroy the inside"

Golden State wins: "KDs a bytch, they're supposed to win they have 2 MVPs, this team is so stacked man, the regular season is ruined!"

:jbhmm:

This sounds like Floyd Mayweather's career (except he's never loss)

He can't beat this guy......beats them......excuses.

Can't win sometimes.

This looks awfully similar to the reaction every single time the 2010-14 Miami heat lost a game :patrice:

Or in other words the rules for being on top AND loud and arrogant. Either you can handle it and rise to the challenge or you can't :manny:. Floyd coulda been a quiet humble cat and never had to deal with that. Heat coulda stayed on their own squads and/or not had a TV special or a pep really. Warriors coulda stayed the plucky low-key underdogs. You don't see shyt like this with the Spurs.

That said, there is no denying that they way they have lost this year has been startling. Losing a couple games is one thing. If I woulda told you they are gonna get run off the floor twice in their first six games before the season started you woulda hit me with :stopitslime:.

That's not the point. People went full retard two seasons back with the warriors when they were the best offense and best defense in basketball all year. It's six games into the year. Let's all stop freaking out and making all these terrible reactionary threads. Same shyt with the heat. Literally every game brought terrible reactionary threads. As for Durant joining the warriors, isn't Harrison Barnes getting paid more by Dallas? Is that really a decision anyone here would give any second consideration?

That is precisely the point. The Warriors of two years ago didn't get such threads. Nobody even cared about them until halfway through the season. These are the times of being reactionary. Everything gets parsed to death. Like I said, you have options. You can be mediocre. You can be lowkey and humble and you can avoid it for the most part. Spurs don't get threads like this. Now that Peyton is gone, Broncos don't get threads like this. These nikkas done popped shyt (from the top down mind you) and done all kinds of extra shyt for the last two years and then make this huge splash this summer and had all kinds of outlandish expectations and hype and attention heaped on them and you expect them getting blown out in 2 of their first 6 games to just fly under the radar? :comeon: You can't be on the top of the mountain with a massive light shining on you and then cry about people looking at you.

And don't forget how they struggled in most of their wins this season.

People been calling them the GOAT squad since last season. It went into overdrive after they signed KD before a game was even played. You got folks talking bout 77 wins and all these chips in a row. But now after 2 blowouts and tight games with the likes of the Pelicans and Suns in actual games, :whoa: we need to pump our breaks and wait to see how it plays out.
