Cyclops was like a simpy, Captain America without the story/ or American stanism. Cyclops didn't even have a personality until after apocalypse


And I'm talking about dudes popularity all around, not just comics. Do you think anyone would've cared if the fukked up Cyclops's character in a movie? How could you even fukk up his character tho? Make his sunglasses blue?? Make him not cry about Jean for 3 movies long???

So they didn't push wolverine. Well they would have been stupid not too. Kids would love a character like him.

Cyclops future self got an ongoing and the OG is the face of the flagship book(which is basically Cyclops and wallpaper, and it routinely out sales Wolverine and wallpaper)

Gambit is about relevant in X history as Husk.

please dude i know my history i can tell you excatlly why it is one of the higest selling comics ever

1. they made a couple million copies of this comic. matter of fact you can prob pick it for 50 cents at any comic book shop
2. some copies were a fold out cover that not only had the cylops run blue team on one cover but the other had Strom run Gold Team on the other.
3. The Cover was done by Jim Lee one of the hottest comic book artists of our time
4. This comic came out during the comic book boom of the 90's were people were buying comics like hot cakes

so in conclusion the strength in sales of this comic had nothing to do with Cyclops and had everything to do with the time.

And also, your theory on people not liking leaders is kinda bullshyt. I liked both Leonardo and Ralphael in the TMNT series because I could relate to both and see myself as either one of them. They needed leadership just like they needed an edge.

The same with the Xmen but they already had a couple QUALIFIED leaders on that squad... And they were mainly lead by Professor X ... Even in combat Professor X was relevant

No one was going to be an effective leader for the TMNT in combat aside from Leonardo.






But Wolverine has been everywhere just about and with or against anyone. He has fought and teamed up with Spider-Man, the Hulk, Avengers, etc., even as anti-social as dude was people STILL flocked to wolverine whether to team up or to be mentored.

Wolvey is worldwide and Cyclops is local bruh... Just admit it
