uhhh loads of people said that. people were like they cast a chick that was too cute as Hermione because in the books she was never described as a dime piece. nikkas had a fukkin countdown to when she'd become legal my cac.
Well I never read the books so yeah, still its hard to tell if kids are gonna turn out to be attractive adults. shyt was just mismatched by the end of the series.

And pedos do that countdown shyt for every underage celebrity. I think it started with the Olsen twins and they turned out to be goblins.

The reason most people don't respect Ron's character is because he was virtually b*stardized in the movies, made into a comic relief idiot whereas in the books that is NOT the case. Ron was ride or die for Harry since the moment they met, even during 5th year when the wizarding world turned on Harry and refused to believe that Voldemort was back, Ron was riding for him. The only times Ron and Harry were at odds were in GOF where Ron thought Harry somehow got his name in the hat and of course in DH where the locket was influencing him negatively.

The movies make Ron out to be a total loser whereas in the books Ron's just about as skilled as Harry. Also the Ron/Hermione relationship is given more room to grow naturally. Ron started showing feelings for Hermione as far back as Chamber Of Secrets when he tried to turn Draco into a slug for insulting Hermione and when he was jealous of her crush on that fraud Defense Against The Dark Arts Teacher. Also Ron was quite skilled at Quidditch and was a gifted Keeper, his nerves were the only thing that held him back.

JK's comments really come off mind of left field for anyone whose read the books as the Ron/Hermione pairing was hinted in book 2 and OBVIOUS by book 4. It's the Harry/Ginny pairing that always rang a bit false to me. First she's this timid little girl with a crush whom Harry hardly pays attention too and has to go to the Yule Ball with the school lap dog Neville and SUDDENLY she's this confident dime piece with 2-3 boy boyfriends who Harry is smitten with?:heh:

yep, its sad to see the movies taken as gospel and ignoring what went on in the books

I still havent even seen the last two movies cause the 6th left me like :dwillhuh: and I decided not to bother

anyway, I think even JKR is most influenced by the movies with these comments

Rowling is trolling for pub or something. This is simple as hell. Ron was everything that Hermoine was missing. Hermoine was serious, stuck up about her knowledge and was alone in the world. Ron got shyt done despite not being as serious, was very humble and understood how to love and be loved because of his big ass warm, loving family. Hermoine couldn't get enough of that, so I don't buy this publicity stunt unless she's one of those stuck up women that actually think opposites don't attract. No different than Harry getting with Ron's sister. Hell Jenny even kinda looked like his mom. The Weasley's always filled voids and were hospitable, warm and caring throughout the series. No way would two outcasts like Hermoine and Harry be attracted to that.

one thing I wish they put in the movies was how salty harry was in the fifth and sixth books I remember this dude was blowin up on everybody all the time:bryan:

like if anyone said something about the summertime or the order withholding information in front of Harry everyone was like:ufdup:

The whole "he could actually turn out like Voldemort or possessed by Voldemort" concept really wasn't handled well in the flicks imo...though I actually thought Rowling could have done more with it too.
