That is quite possibly one of the worst posts I have seen somewhere. Yes, two players averaging the same doesn't make them equal, but to players averaging the same with the same eFG% or FG% does. And for all this "setting up" of others by Gay, Deng has averaged more assists over his career :krs:, with no Marc Gasol to feed. Deng is one of the most underrated players in the L.

Would you compare one Allen Iverson's 26 ppg to Joe Johnson's?

I'll help you out: AI's fg % was lower than Joe's. So who was the better player in those respective years?

better yet:

Paul Pierce vs Joe Johnson in 2006 2007

Both averaged 25 ppg

Joe had the better shooting percentage

You'd pick Joe Johnson over PP THAT YEAR?

I might get killed for saying this, but Batum has been playing Bron-Pippen like on both sides of the floor since he got that contract extension and is easily the Most Improved Player this year so far and should stay on pace.

Yeah hes picked up his offense attacking the basket more. When the hype of him being the next Pippen got loud last year he played up and down but this year hes been steady.

But to the topic, :rudy: shots been off this year but hes still scoring the same. That tells you alot and how much he does off his athletic ability. Andre was lebron-lite last year with the assist and rebounds and i felt he played better defense than Deng last year. All these nikkas can score 20 and make no difference in a game. Them quiet points stop them from being number 1 options. Batum wants that number 4 spot :leon:

and that makes him a lesser player than the other two?

question.. do you think Loul Deng is a better player than Rudy Gay?

I would go with Iggy

but Rudy Gay is one of the most low-key all star caliber players in the L.

But Memphis despite scoring a lot this season is really a defensive team and he doesn't get shine like that.

A) PP is an all-star

B) PP cruises half the season, but can turn it on at any given time and go for 40.

C) When it matters, PP is a lockdown defender and super clutch.

Rudy is none of the above. Nobody is saying Rudy isn't nice. Deng is the main reason Kobe didn't go to Chicago :whoo:, he didn't want to play without him. Gay's game may be more aesthetically pleasing, but there is no basketball purist who would take Gay over Deng. Matter of fact, if Memphis right now tried to trade Gay for Deng, my money's on Chicago rejecting that trade.
