I'm a big fan of all 3 players. I would've said Iggy before but gotta go with Rudy Gay right now... Iggy has just been pathetic so far this season. Still give him the edge over Deng for now.
Deng is really nice as a role player, he always finds him open and is great at moving w/o the ball and working off the star's playmaking but the guy has no ball handling skills and has one of the slowest first steps at his positioin. Deng is underrated as a defender though. Gay too, people always talk about Iggy but these 2 are very long and athletic and really bother people. Plus they do a good job of getting back on fast breaks which is a very important and underrated part of defense in the NBA.

Most people would take Iggy over Deng defensively

:childplease: Deng doesn't need the balls in his hands, shoots a high FG%, rebounds, and plays tough D. Gay averages 2 more points per game with a lower FG%. Deng is one of THE most underrated players in the L, and one of the most efficient. Deng all day, I'm trying to understand how this is debatable :why:.

Gay can create his own shot and set up others. Deng is always on the wing waiting for the ball somewhere. Big difference. Two players averaging the same number does not make them equal doggie.

Iggy...

I might be bias but iggy is the most fustrating player I have ever watched.. Dude has all the tools to be an elite player... But something is severely lacking.. Dude barely puts up 15 a game.. I can not remember a time when iggy balled out and won a game.. He its a role player at best..not even a #2 guy..

That is quite possibly one of the worst posts I have seen somewhere. Yes, two players averaging the same doesn't make them equal, but to players averaging the same with the same eFG% or FG% does. And for all this "setting up" of others by Gay, Deng has averaged more assists over his career :krs:, with no Marc Gasol to feed. Deng is one of the most underrated players in the L.
