It really is outrageous. We should be ashamed for letting it get this far. You realize we the only women cosigning this shyt, right?
You said Crimson Cure was too harsh in her delivery and I said the harshness was needed at this point.
I'm pressing you a bit bc I want you to see the pitfalls clearly. You're much younger than I am and still liable to get caught up in the fukkshyt, even if its the bougie version. They particularly aim for girls of a certain class so they can slide the degeneracy in through established media outlets, black orgs, the Essence Festival, etc. Dont get sucked in. They need you for cover.
Naw you’re right. I get it and I see…I did get a little caught up but that’s why I stopped watching reality tv, etc a few years back. It just hit me that no one I actually valued in my life acted like the BW in the media. And my family would slap me silly before I truly went crazy
What I will say is I think White women/mainstream society were the first to welcome this shyt, but BW messed up by accepting it and thinking that they could be a replacement companion. I think some of us really ran with the “best friend” thing. WW showcase them in the media, but I don’t see younger WW truly rocking with them like that. Maybe older WW. We ran with it, probably for multiple reasons.
I’ll also say white women started the pushback first. I remember women being called “TERFs” when I was younger and it was a big deal to align with feminism but exclude transwomen.
Now, I totally rocked with TERF ideology in the sense that transwomen are not women, but I never said it out loud because I definitely would’ve been ostracized. And I had Black college friends who were totally wrapped up in that shyt. So I just kept my mouth shut. But nooooooow people are starting to put respect on TERFs’ name.
They’ve gotten too comfortable though because Black folks think shyt is a joke until it’s damn near too late. Men called this shyt and we were fine with it because transwomen weren’t really stepping on our toes YET. But when we pushed back against men and said it was cool, they got comfortable and started coming for us. And we were quiet because mainstream society seemed to accept white transwomen doing this shyt.
I mean, they even had ol boy as the new spokesperson for the most popular American made beer! Lmao And had same dude as a spokesperson for Ulta! White society starting speaking up when those 2 things happened this year. But our transwomen are really getting disrespectful with the shyt. Ionno. All I know is we are pushing back.
It’s getting handled. Late, but it’s getting handled.
