Here's what you need to do...understand human nature. It's spans all races.

1. People act out of self-interest (selfishly) about 95% of the time.
2. People prefer people and things that are more like them, and less prefer things that are not like them.
3. People are afraid. They act stupid out of ignorance and fear. It's an epidemic. They fear things that are different than them and things that do not directly serve their own self interests.
4. The powers that be use #1-3 to manipulate, control, and divide us. This means governments, media, and pretty much any type of organization that has a selfish/capitalist agenda. They want you to hate white people, and they want white people to hate you. Stop being a puppet for them.

Bottomline: Everyone is a piece of shyt, but we can at least try to control ourselves. Start there.

The reason I mentioned coming up, is because usually when people run into failure they feel a loss of control and start blaming others for their failure. A modest living is very honorable though.

I have plenty of friends that have a latino background, but identify as white. My friend has one Cuban and one white/European parent, has the last name "Perez" but identifies as white. Race is kind of a harder thing to pin-point for latinos.

Looks messican to me but I agree that everyone has a different threshold.

A friend of mine to this day thinks Eva Angelina looks like a 100% regular white chick; doesn't see any latin in her at all. I'd post a pic for reference, but I'm on day 4 so...

Zimmerman was initially identified as white a week or two into the story breaking, because he looks white in his various mugshots, he himself identified as white and was classified as such, and his last name is Zimmerman. After more information was gleaned by the media, and the confusion was cleared, he was correctly identified as half peruvian/half white --- or "white hispanic".

yep. it went from white to white hispanic to spanish speaking minority. there was a clear strategy by sanford pd and the zimmerman legal pr team to downplay the white by association privilege afforded him and his family in the initial stages of the incident. after it came out that the sanford police basically chalked this up as 'a black thug getting what he deserved' and not processing the scene properly or charging gz with at least manslaughter from the start, gz own father made the statement "George is a Spanish speaking minority with many black family members and friends..." which is clearly a pitiful attempt at denying their white privilege. even if part of it was due to his white ex-judge daddy going down to the station that night to cash in a few favors so the investigation stopped and his son goes home.

Yeah I suppose. Like when you say "Looks Mexican" to me that would be as odd as someone saying he looks "American". It's so racially diverse, in my opinion, that it doesn't make sense to use that term to label someone.

He was associated with white because:

- It gave a media boost to the story...stirs the pot

- because he committed an act that is reminiscent of past crimes commonly committed by white males against black men throughout early-mid 20th century

- his act received sympathy/support from white people because it was against a black male who was "suspicious" and "dressed like a thug"

- he committed an act of supremacy over a black male, which is celebrated no matter what

- his father is white and he was socialized to think like an American white male...no matter what his mother is...complete with American white male stereotypes of black males

- white supremacy is a system that celebrates acts of degrading non-whites and promoting whites...these acts can be committed by whites and non-whites alike...an Uncle Tom is a white supremacist even if he's dark-skinned with an afro

There's actually a difference, Obama embraces black people and it's culture, married black, and clearly identifies as black. Zimmerman on the other hand seems to want to be white, married white, basically comes off as one of those half mexicans who's mad he isn't full white. So the mentality plays a part, not just the makeup.
