the odds of your son being a collegiate or professional athlete, especially if he is short, are incredibly low. so which sports he would be "good" at shouldn't even matter since it's highly unlikely athletics will be his career or get him a free education or something.

expose him to many of them as he is interested and just encourage him to play whichever ones he has the most fun doing.

all that matters is that he is getting exercise and having fun.

People are really saying baseball? :dahell:

Most baseball players are at LEAST 5’9.

Or telling him to box and get brain damage brehs.

Get him a soccer ball and hope for the best.

He can play almost any sport...basketball and volleyball are the only ones that would be difficult unless he's a freak ath-o-leet.

Football, golf, track, baseball, gymnastics, boxing/MMA, soccer, hockey etc., have plenty of short dudes that are successful.

Body type matters...is he a twitchy/explosive athlete or is he more average but with great cardio...or does he have elite hand-eye coordination?

Depends on what your goal is. If your endgame is pro sports, then maybe tennis, but there are not many short pro athletes. But if it’s just to participate and stay active, then just let him do whatever he enjoys.

Wtf type of question is this!?
:skip:

Bro……
:what:
Steer him towards WHATEVER sport he enjoys and can be consistent at.
:dahell:
You’re already putting limitations on his height and insinuating that his height can be an attribute of concern for you… by doing this you’re inadvertently training him to be soft with limited confidence in himself. He can play whatever he puts his mind to… whatever he does decide to do, I would add some sort of self defense/combat training to it just cuz…. Once he knows he can destroy another man with his own hands, he’ll NEVER be unsure of himself again and the sport he’s meant to play will automatically pick itself FOR HIM….
