You can argue the reason why Peyton has much better numbers than Eli is because of the passing offense he plays in, the dome that he played in for a number of years that favored a passing attack thus padding his stats, and the the fact that he played with 2 HOF WRs, All Pro RB in Edge and TE in Clark. Now if you put Eli in these same favorable conditions, you assume that he wouldn't have produced the same numbers as Peyton.
They said the same thing about Brady until they switched his offense to more pass oriented attack and that dude even surpassed Manning in accumulating stupid stats.
So I'm not gonna sit here and hold it against Eli because his offense doesn't dictate him to throw it a shytload of times so he can pad his stats. You guys are easily fooled by that shyt. I prefer to judge a player based on his performance when games really count. And from where I'm standing, Eli >>> Peyton.
1. Peyton just played this season outdoors and still had a better season than Eli has ever had.
2. Eli has thrown the ball at least 500 times a year every year that he's been a full time starter except 2008.
3. Those "HOF" players that you mention have also had the benefit of playing with Peyton Manning. Or haven't you noticed how damn near everybody he plays with has some of the best years of their career.
