He may just be a very cheap and frugal dude and don't wanna give anything extra monetary even $20. Some men don't wanna be used for money...even a lil bit. Hell I remember one dude complaining in the past on this site about a woman using him for an Applebee's 2 for $20 meal. I think that's reasonable for a dinner date but some disagree.

I can't lie I'm lazy and have done that so many times. I was a scumbag too and had a routine to avoid taking women out on a date. I worked from home and was on call at times. So I would tell them that I had got a work call and can't go out so would just invite them to the crib. If they didn't look as good as expected sometimes I'd still fukk anyway but there were times I would tell them I had to cut them short due to a work call and would send them on their way.

I never understood how grown people with jobs end up in a situation where they don’t have gas money. That’s high school/college kid stuff. If you can’t go somewhere cause you ain’t got gas, you not making the right decision somewhere in life. And if you DO have gas but just want to be reimbursed for a trip, then you really don’t want to go and you’re just trying to finesse somebody.
