You sound silly. Lebron has at least 1 50 point-10 assists game and a couple of 50 point games where he's had 7-9 assists, so it's dumb to think that he couldn't score 60. Kobe is more of a volume shooter than Lebron is while Lebron is a more willing passer and playmaker. You won't see Lebron going on those kind of 40 point game streaks because he's not going to gun that much. He's obviously capable though. Kobe doesn't score in more ways that Lebron either, which is why he's not as efficient. Lebron is a better scorer in the paint, he's a better scorer in the open floor, he's a better scorer off the ball, and he's better at getting offensive rebounds and put backs. Kobe is still has a more polished 1on1 offensive game than Lebron, but it's not as effective hence the facts/stats.
:bryan:

That's bullshyt and you know it. Kobe is one of the most creative scorers in the history of the league. Lebron's arsenal is nowhere close to Kobe's.

kobe having 1 MVP while Steve Nash haves 2 is a fukking travesty :snoop:

Not nearly as much a travesty as Shaq only having one. Kobe probably has only deserved one, maybe two. Not a travesty. Shaq should have 3 or 4.

That award is susceptible to being given to the best story (Rose, Iverson).

How? When you miss 20 games a season, you don't deserve to win MVPs.

The one year he played 79 games he won it.

Look, if you continue to quote me with your emotional outbursts where you don't really say anything then I'll just start insulting you. I stated an opinion and backed it up with an argument supporting that opinion. Since you disagree then why don't you explain why? Make your case for Kobe being able to score in more ways than Lebron, instead of boo-hooing over my opinion.

Until last years playoffs, LeBron didn't want any part of the ball with 5 minutes left in a playoff game. YeAh he can rack up stats and shyt, but that dude is the biggest frontrunner in sports and is nowhere near Kobe when the game is on the line.

If someone is that great, they can miss some games and still be MVP. Shaq was the best player in the league after Jordan retired until 2005. He didn't always miss 20. In the two years after his first MVP, he missed 8 and 15.

In 2000-01, he played 74 games and led the league in PER. MVP.

In 2001-02 he played 67 games and led the league in PER. MVP.

He should have had a three peat of MVP's just like he led the Lakers to a 3-peat.

Kobe has a ton of moves that Lebron doesn't have. Its not even debatable. Its obvious to anyone who watches them play.

Not true. Lebron was a fine closer in Cleveland. One of the best in the league. He closed out the Celtics and Bulls in the 2011 playoffs.

I disagree. 15 is too many to miss. Shaq was not better than Kobe in 03 and 04.

What I don't like about this is the skills combine nature of the discussion.

We have objective production that measures a players worth on the court, but we want to sit there and say 'Who can do more' when players have different games.

The on court production tells the story. I'm saying this without even thinking of going to get video of LeBron drop steps and running hooks to display his post game.

I'd rather debate with objective measures than subjective breakdowns of athletes like it's a combine.

We can absolutely talk about players skills and rave, but when discussing WHO IS BETTER, it's just not that important when we have actual data of a players worth regardless.

It's really not. His 67 games were enough to put his team in a high seeded position. It's over 80 percent of a season. I mean, he was there 4 games out of every five lapping everything in his path. Seems unfair.

Anyway, he was better than Kobe in 2003 and 2004. I can't just give you that because one guy sat out three weeks. In 2003, Shaq had nearly a 30 PER and 27,11 on 58 percent shooting. Him missing a few more games doesn't change that. I'd understand you if someone missed 25-30 games, a sizeable chunk. But not here.

In 2004, Kobe actually missed 17 games, two more than Shaq. It was close, but Shaq still was a little more productive.

You can't be serious. We are debating the ways in which players can score and you post individual moves as if that settles the debate. How old are you? When talking about ways in which a player can score its not individual 1on1 moves, it's about the different aspects of the game like runnin the floor, posting up, jump shooting, ect. The things that i talked about in my post. The clips that you posted are just examples of kobes 1on1 game but thats not the only way that players score. Obvioulsy you dont understand that. How do you even know that lebron can't do those moves in the clips?
