I'm going with Dwight since he has the best percentage out of all of them. What's crazy is that he and Jordan have good form but they just cant seem to drop for them. But when they get in a rhythm they don't look bad from the line. And also where I bet Shaq is like where were some of these guys when he was in the league so they could have taken some of the heat of him for his horrible shooting that was talked about daily it seemed.

Shaq. Dwight shoots 80% in practice then shoots 50% in games. We know the pressure gets to him. Shaq was just a bad free throw shooter. This whole "make em when they count" line that Shaq likes to say is bullshyt. I've seen him miss several crucial free throws at the end of games.

Can't believe Shaq's "I make em when they count" line actually got people believing that. :dead:

All he had to do was make one or two while they are talking about that quote and then act like it was the truth.

Don't know who I'd go with here, but I'm not gonna act like Shaq was "clutch" from the line.

When you're not used to shooting at all you have no shooting mechanics. You're not used to shooting the ball in that motion. Its why most great jump shooters are also great free throw shooters. You're freethrow is your jumpshot form. Not used to shooting jumpers makes shooting fts harder :ld:
Are you implying they don't practice FTs? What do you mean they're not used to shooting? They do it all day in practice and probably the offseason

And even if you're post was correct, it doesn't devalue what I said. There can be multiple reasons explaining their poor FT shooting

There always anomalies tho. There are good shooters in both levels of basketball that are good perimeter shooters and shytty free throwers

MJ and Dr J have huge hands and didn't brick at epic rates though

Some are more adapted to it than others. Most big guys never developed or adapted to scoring the ball or shooting the ball. Which reminds me, DJ Mbenga was probably the most uncoordinated, inept person I've ever seen trying to score a basketball, either him or Desagna Diop.

Well, compared to Ben and Deandre, Shaq's like Mark Price so it's really between Shaq and Dwight. And I remember Phil sending Shaq to shoot a technical and he made it so.... :shaq: . That's pretty much it to convince me:heh:

Dwight did hit 67% in his rookie year and near 60% for a few more seasons, but I don't know what the hell happened the last few years.

Why isn't rondo an option. Shaq is known to hit free throws when it counts
