Could be....Coaches like Carroll and Belichek may think on another level and do shyt like this or throw a game so they don't have to face an opponent that could be a bad match up. Like how pats lost to jets and Miami last year at end of regular season.

Still shocked Fischer not putting forth a better effort especially on D. He normally plays his entire division hard.

It's his first look at us with Chip. I think the Lambs will be tougher later in the year.

Steve and Boomer watching the same game as me?

Gabbert leash is super short. All it takes is a 3 pick game against the panthers

You're right, there's a lot of trash around the league, but Bears aren't doing shyt with Cutler but paying his inflated salary. Keenum isn't going to be starting past week 5. Gabbert makes $2M. Cousins will probably get a dumb contract but none of these guys have 10 years of mediocrity under their belts.
We're in year two of complete rebuild and Cutler is now getting like the 14th highest yearly cap hit for a QB which is OK. His salary isnt holding us back since we moatly looking to build through draft. He has no more guaranteed money, so he's year to year at this point. Ryan Pace tried trading him when he came in, nobody bit. Then figured it would be better than rolling with him than a Keenum level type. I'm surprised they haven't drafted a developmental QB yet, but maybe they haven't liked the past two drafts once they couldn't get the top guys because of draft position. I think going into this year they thought the young guys were ready to be a sneaky 9-7 team and if you don't retain Jay that's just not possible

I like keeping him tbh, he gives us a chance to compete if the youngins are ready but at the same time he's no longer guaranteed money and not slowing down the rebuild

I don't believe in full on tanking in the NFL, Bears will prob go 7-9 bit if things click 9-7 and some playoff hope which this fnabase sorely needs isn't out of the question but it wouldn't be possible without Jay

Sorry for th rambling
