ahhh why do people respond? I just don't understand. And then in HL you guys went a full what 15 posts before the distinction between "Air" and Oxygen was made, and still haven't quite hammered out the distinction between "Air" and "gas".
Did everyone forget what a "sound" is all of a sudden?
If there was no medium around us to vibrate then we'd be limited to 4 of our 5 senses because HEARING would not exist nor would sound. (further more we'd probably never had developed a mechanism with which to hear...or if you're from a religious persuasion GOd would not have given us ears if there was nothing to hear)
That all being said, organism would have developed other means of communication (as there are already many organism that don't communicate via sound).
sound needs a medium to pass through (i.e oxygen, water etc) so unless there are gas clouds nearby there would be no sound.
are we talking about air or oxygen because i'm confused.
