I warmup with 225, and end my sets at 305, but I’m a strong athletic bruh that was a former high level athlete. I can tell you that after the Combine a lot of my homies that played in the NFL never did bench press again :manny: It’s really just an ego lift (there are other ways to build the up the chest).


Make sure you stretch, do interval sprinting and mix in heavy lifting with muscle endurance exercises and you’ll be fit and age well. Eating well and avoiding alcohol also plays a significant role.

Bench hits my chest the best. I wouldn’t say it’s an ego lift. Everyone is different.
