We'll see (I don't think they'll get 50 either, but they'll get at least 35 IMO).
they wont even get that

I think the ACC and Maryland will just settle when its all said and done a figure that surprises everyone. And from that point forward, the conference realignment will kick into a gear higher than any of us would imagine.

What's with y'all voting to make Maryland pay the whole 50 mill tho?

IMO, I believe it's just a way to go along to get along. Trust, if UCONN was the choice, Clemson and FSU would've bailed. They bring nothing to the table on the football side and basketball is gonna be meh w/ Calhoun gone. Plus if they wanted to build up the bball brand, Louisville was the route to go. I still say if they want to up the basketball resume, the next obvious choice is Georgetown. They'll still have that TV signal into the DMV market but not as much as the UMD reach. Now the next interesting part of this will be how they realign the divisions. Early word is flip flopping GT & BC and moving Louisville into the coastal along w Clemson

I think he will. The loyalty he has for Louisville's AD who finally gave him a shot (and the fact that an unnamed SEC school who wanted to hire him, but didn't due to the fact that there would be backlash due to his white wife) will probably keep him away from wanting any SEC openings. Now that they are in one of the Big 5 conferences, he'll stay (as long as they are winning of course).
Tom Jurich is one of the best ADs in the nation, bar none. The school has seen exponential growth and almost nothing but positive results.

His biggest snafus are Kragthorpe (which he and Charlie Strong have clearly overcame at this point) and the transition between Denny Crum and Rick Pitino.

And he has increased the stature of the other sports, across the board, without question. We had 8 college sport teams in the Top 10 this month :skip:

He builds strong bonds with his coaches, and gives incredible support to them. He's gone on television and said that he will make Charlie Strong the highest paid coach in the country, if that is what it takes to keep him. Instead of flexing to get Rick Pitino to consider coaching further, he backed off last year, and now we have at least another decade with him.

Wonder when Louisville is gonna get at Georgia Tech :stylin:

Any word of the SEC school that shytted on him and his family though? I wonder who it was...:scheme:

around that time I would think only Tennessee had a job opening in 2010 cause that's when Dooley was hired. If it was 09, then Auburn and MSU would be the victims but i'm thinking it was either UT or Auburn.

I agree. I wish that they would of won and made it to a BCS game this year so he could get Louisville some more national attention and respect but i think he's building something solid down there and will stay. I just can't see him as the type that would want to deal with the headache of an SEC school who aren't patient.
:belip:

Louisville plays Rutgers for the BCS game spot tomorrow night!

Their synchronized upsets last weekend simply gave the share of the title to Syracuse and possibly Cincy (if they beat UCONN).

In all tiebreaker scenarios - Louisville beats Rutgers, they get the BCS bid.

Gotcha. Thought the last two losses (terrible loss to Uconn btw) knocked em out of contention for the Big East championship :manny:

fukk. That would mean us having FSU every year (most want that), but we'll probably still keep our cross division staple with clemson too. :why:

Cincy is ACC bound....would make a good lil rivalry with Louisville not so far away and especially since BC may bolt (let us pray)

You'll see breh
Uconn n Cincy the best of the scrap left

Thing is Miami, Clemson, even your ga tech could leave for the sec, big ten or big 12 all conferences with bigger tv deals and more money

Uconn is a safety net for the acc another acc team will leave and the fallback will be uconn
