dosnt matter when it made it to Africa the "white man" introduced it. Yes there was some forms of christianity in Africa before the slave trade. But they where mostly in Egypt where allot of Jewish people were. As far as the entire continent of Africa Christianity was not practiced very widely at all. The christan religion that blacks identify with now was given to us by our white slave masters as a controllable sense of hope for us. They could control our actions by telling us the right way to live, but it also gave us hope that a higher power loved us and we would be saved one day as long as we follow the teaching we were given by the slave masters.

Yeah I could never understand how black people are so devout Christians, when the slave masters tought it to us to keep us in line. We reject EVERYTHING else our slave masters projected upon us but for some reason Christianity stuck.
