I used to relax my hair because it was curly. I remember when my mother used to comb my hair, she would complain about how thick it was and would use words such as, 'hard' and 'rough' to describe it. She has cooli hair which is pretty much straight hair. I did hate my hair; but I didn't hate my race. I just didn't know how to take care of curly hair properly because i was never taught how to. All people need is more knowledge and less judgement. I think.

It's not that I care or they should care, it's that they wouldn't admit other women have self hatred problems as well but now that they do, we're over it.

See this is what we should be discussing. Actually I would like to promote curly hair period, this straight hair movement needs to be kicked to the bushes (not to the naturally straight hair girls though).
