Oh I still think she is annoying, but I can play nice :mjpls:

@marcuz I'll sure you'll disagree, but you really diluted the potency of your stance once you stated that you'd rather a woman wear a "kinky" weave than a short fro'. Again, if you were really down for natural movement (and anti-weave) you'd NEVER say such a thing.

And going natural is indeed a "journey" because women are learning about their hair and understanding it in a way that they never did before.

Girl all he is going to say is those bytches should have been known about their hair. I can't respect a 20 year old bytch who don't know shyt about her hair.

I'll be a lady and apologize. I just considered your posts to be pandering and well, quite annoying.

I accept your apology and would like to also apologize for being annoying, sorry! I was a little moody yesterday so forgive me. I should have been more understanding especially since I used to chemically relax my hair not too long ago. I only embraced my natural curl pattern in 2009. Therefore, it was absolutely wrong of me to be so condescending towards those who have chosen a different path either by choice or by habit. Majority of us know how it feels to be told our hair isn't good enough. Just because I'm now on the outside looking in (after learning how to love my hair) doesn't make me ''better'' but only fortunate that others helped me to discover a different way of doing things. I entered this thread kinda moody, and agree with your sentiments that I was annoying and rude, lol. Sorry love x

yeah, no. pretty much every time we have these arguments, yall always bring up what women are doing first.

guy: i hate weave

girl: but white women do it too

guy: im just saying, this weave stuff is gross

girl: white women do it too! and they get butt implants! lip injections! they want to be us!

guy: okay, well thats cool, but im just saying i really dislike this fake hair in your head.

girl: YOU GIVING WHITE GIRLS A PASS FOR DOING IT!

i mean :why: what do yall want
I don't bring up white women and I dislike weaves and relaxers as a whole but I'm not going to give white women or any other women a pass for doing the same ish just because it matches their hair.....

im just responding to all the damn resistance that im getting. it's like, fine, have your fukking weave if it means so much to you. since "it's just hair"

edit: life is a journey, growing your hair isn't. like i said, black women make everything a goddamn journey. interracial dating journey, natural hair journey, just stop. STOP :tf:

Cuz y'all love em so much :lupe:

and how am I specially trying to emulate them :childplease:
:dead:

Every award show, every school, every office, every event, you will find Black women wearing weave with a hair texture that isn't their own. Look what happened to Gabby Douglas at the Olympics, Black women were shytting on an Olympic Champion on twitter because she didn't get her hair "did". Every where i go from America, Carribean to Africa for some odd reason a majority of black woman have got in hair that doesn't look like their natural hair texture. Then you got people that straight up say it like Sheryl Underwood, she says "our hair is nasty" or whatever she said. What she said is how a large majority of Black women feel but they can't admit it because it doesn't make them look good. I'm glad you broken the cycle and if you ever have a daughter i'm glad you can pass the wisdom on to her but for every girl goin natural you have another girl embracing hair that doesn't look like her natural hair and the virus continues to spread, the self esteem continues to drop & the self hate continues to grow.

Don't blame black men for pointing out this mess. :aicmon:

I'm pretty sure someone on your side starts the white women thing.

Guy: I hate weaves.

Another guy: IDK why black women do it, you never see white women/women of other races doing it.

Girl or Guy: well here are some example of white women/other women doing it.

Guy: See, yall always got to bring up white women and those examples are a minority.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

You asked me why I emulate them, I asked you how do I specifically emulate them, I can't speak for the next woman....but let's not act like black men don't somehow play a role in this....

I would love to hear them explain Brazilian blow outs and keratin treatments.....not everyone loves their natural hair

But she is just emulating women of her race. She doesn't hate her hair.

:aicmon: Marcuz, you know these discussions don't go like that, it goes more like this

guy: you hate yourself because you wear weave and you wish you were white

girl: no I just like wearing different hairstyles and I sometimes use it as a protective style

guy: do white women wear weave that looks like black hair?

girl: I don't care what white women do

guy: *laughs* I wish you black women would just admit you hate your hair and wish you were white

girl: but I have natural hair and I don't wish I was white

guy: *starts argument over again*

fukk it, i'll guess we'll just ignore the "white women do it too" mantra.

hey, how about you show me where in this thread someone on "my team" brought up white women first. because just from this argument today, y'all bringing up white women first, not me.
