This article mentions hair care spending to be around 30% based on a market research report. Its pretty up to date.

A lot more women are finding out that they don't need to buy hair and are investing in their own natural hair. Stop assuming every black woman with long, shiny hair isn't wearing her own hair. I've seen this on the rise where i'm at.

:blessed: Thank you! Now this is what I'm talking about...reliable sources. Not only is the overall article from a quality source (University of Michigan), but they also have multiple sources for all their claims. So there we have it, black people all together make 30% of hair care spending. Disproportionate, but no where near that 80% number that some people claim.

The article mentions 70% straighten their hair but unlike the market research numbers, its based off of assumptions and most likely a survey of 200 women in some hood town nobody heard of. The 30% is fact, not assumption.

Considering the fact that this stat comes up all the time in these threads by posters like you, it matters.

Do you seriously say these sorts of statements thinking you'll shut people down?

This is why I have no qualm about insulting you.

Its sheer stupidity.

IT DOES NOT MATTER BECAUSE ITS AN EMPTY QUOTE.

Black people are minority. No shyt.

Did yo know self-identifying blacks also buy around 30% of all soap, and milk? WOW.

You can TRY to insult me all you want. Please do, call me a bytch, a hoe, a slut, a weave wearer, black, stupid, a idiot, and anything else you can think of. In case you haven't noticed, I don't give a damn what you think of me. The one thing I have noticed about you is that failed insults are all you have.

The fact that people have mentioned the stat before (Malta to be exact) then it matters to someone; therefore, I will keep it a reference. If it doesn't matter to you then why the hell are you quoting me?
