Today's rap is hella basic and the game is very accessible so I'm not impressed with a few tracks over the course of like a year to legitimize someone's claim of a "love for hiphop/dedication to rap" nor "Putting in work".
It's corny that a person can only take rap seriously for a year and a half but have a spot not only made for them, but have the rap masses trying to put established artists down to glorify that position.(nicki minaj)
So yes, they're both memes being repackaged as rappers to increase profitability and extend their 15 minutes. Only difference is one came from Vine and the other from Youtube.

Men didn't have issues listening to female rappers in the late 80's/early 90's, now, even dope female mc's, they'll dismiss. And women in this younger generation simply love hating on each other, so yea, you gotta do more or bring more to the table as a female mc than skills, that's where looks, trendsetting, social media, etc come in to play and are helping the less talented blow.

Strip clubs have played a big role in rap music for decades. Cardi isn't doing anything wrong or unauthentic. IF you don't fux with her music that's one thing, but she is not violating some code or "disrespecting the culture." This isn't a religion. It's art, and a lot of it has always revolved around having fun/shaking ass/dancing.
I got no problem with Cash Me Outside chick either. She's basically the average hood white girl, who makes up a major portion of rap fans. How is she a vulture any more than Kodak or anyone else lmao. These kids grow up in shytty environments and rap what they see/know. It is what it is.
You know who gets my anger? Atlantic Records. For exploiting kids with terrible one-sided record label deals and not giving a fukk about their artists, development, etc. A lot of labels are doing well right now, and somewhat doing the right thing by putting their artists in a position to win. Meanwhile Atlantic still treating this shyt like a fast food line. She happy right now but when she really realizes part of her reality tv money and ANY OTHER REVENUE STREAM SHE ACQUIRES will be sucked first by Atlantic Records...she'll be on Vlad TV crying.
