Because she's basically cardi at 13. Just what you described.
how is she cardi at 13? and no one would be listening to cardi at 13...i don't even know if cardi was rapping then. but she was rapping long enough before the fame to be good at it. does this girl even rap?

OK so whats the difference between the Catch Me Outside girl and all the accepted rappers that said that they are hustlers and not rappers (JIm Jones, Young Jeezy) ??
:what: the difference is that those dudes were actually rappers. they spent years rapping, and used it to hustle. this girl acts dumb on a tv show and is given the record deal without having ever spit a bar? how is that the same? jeezy dropped hella tapes before a record deal, jones was fukking around on the mic and running a rap crew/label before dropping a song.

yall are trying too hard in here, mostly in an effort to discredit cardi. like her music or not, she's a decent rapper and was clearly rapping before L&HH and used it to launch a career. she wasn't handed a career with no talent or nothing proven. white mediocrity being awarded yet again :camby:

OK but u missed the point that I was saying. Jim Jones and Jeezy openly said they aren't rappers.....totally deducing the value of what a rapper is. What I said has nothing to do with awarding white mediocrity but moreso those rapper I just mentioned being awarded for something yet openly claiming they are not what they were awarded for. To say you arent a rapper but thats how u get your fame and money is a spit in the face of those who claim to be rappers. But no one stressed it when Jeezy and Jim Jones said that so if no one stressed it back then why would someone stress it now when its a talentless white girl who "actually claims to be a rapper?"

She claims to have put in that work in the studio just like what u said about jones and jeezy and @0:19 she says "i'm a rapper" she never says "i'm not a rapper like Jim Jones and Jeezy"

Because it's obvious they were exaggerating, we get what they meant when they said it.

if you honestly think they didnt spend countless hours learning how to rap you arent even attempting to use your brain, Jeezy came into the game well versed on the craft... they can SAY whatever they want, you can listen and tell that it wasnt like that.....compare that to Trinidad James who completely fell off because he truly wasnt into rapping like that

:umad:She had a hot 100 hit before getting signed.:umad:Unlike Cardi she aint need the label to build her up before dropping one

No we don't. We don't have to accept her at all. Cardi's rise was somewhat organic from her going to school and working as a cashier down the street to a dude coming into the store and telling her she should dance... to that leading to being 'discovered' by LHH NY crew...to where she is now.

This young ass girl and her mom have been trying to get on reality shows and get their 15 minutes for half their lives. They fabricated that Doctor Phil shyt to get camera time. The Mom and the little girl's uncle have been trying out for Survivor, Big Brother and all sorts of shows for years and years until they finally got a callback from Dr Phil and it clicked.

Cardi wasn't sitting back plotting a cultural take-over ...one thing just lead to another with her. Cardi's also easily identifiable to, and representative of , a region. if you're in NY you've met a girl like Cardi. she's putting on for girls across the whole damn city.

The catch me outside girl's from one of those rinky dink 2-stoplight trailor park towns in florida that people from NY move to when they lose their jobs. she's not representative of anything besides being an amalgam "urban internet" culture - a living, breathing meme

This young catch me outside girl's mother has been planning this for the little girl since she was most likely in the womb

Of course we get it..But who called them out on it? U see thats were the Catch Me Outside girl slips thru the cracks. Since u got 2 big rappers claiming they arent rappers then that opens the doors for others to come in and do the same........They say "im not a rapper im a hustler" and it showed in their mediocre skills. OK well this chick is mediocre too yet she's claiming to be a rapper. She's not devaluing the title like Jeezy and Jones.

Also...one thing no one is pointing out...What if shorty actually takes it serious :mjlol: For argument sake we dont know if she's serious but lets say she is.....She can start sharpening her skills and be ill by 17.

I fukk with cardi too, but I'm definitely playing devil's advocate here.

Before love and hip hop no one was checking for cardi music like that except her love and hip hop following and fans on IG. And all the fans she's gotten since bodak yellow was cuz of bodak yellow. I and most people liked cardi as a personality, but wasn't checking for her music. Had this song not blew up, the mainstream and most regular people would not know or care about her "2 mixtapes in 6 months" except her love and hip hop following. Bodak yellow was a dope record that actually made me pay attention to her music. I'll even give Lick some spotlight cuz I fukked with that record too.. but I nor most ppl wasn't checking for her as a music artist. We just thought she was a funny IG personality from love and hip hop.

So my point is, to most ppl Cardi music came outta nowhere even tho she got songs before bodak, just like this cash me outside chick... They both get love for being ratchet, loud, and unclassy. And the cash me outside chick is 13, you can't expect her to have put in work like cardi did when she's just hitting puberty. But the point is, they in the same class.

Lets be honest...they both are trash. But look at how these dudes are actually defending Cardi B who is trash while talking down on the Catch Me Outside girl who is also trash. :heh:

Talking bout "oh Cardi put that work in" So what, she's still trash.

You make an excellent point. If all these fools have in defense of Cardi B is the time she put in trying to rap then they have no real argument because Cardi is trash. How can u defend someones studio efforts who is wack? You cant...yet they trying to in this thread.

yall overestimating the relevance of this chick...i aint never heard none of this nor did i know she actually "rapped"...i can feel comfortable in saying she prolly started rapping because of her ratchet tv appearance, but regardless of why or how long she's rapped, at least i know they supposedly signed her because she actually does rap...not because she's a meme who they were going to package as a rapper. so to that extent more power to her for using her lil bit of fame to grab 15 more minutes

edit: cardi isn't trash tho @Ron Fox , we get it you don't like her. i don't even listen to her like that - i'm on record as saying she's got a generic 2003 NY female MC style/flow, - but while she doesn't wow me, she's definitely a decent rapper.
