The main thing you need unless you got some kinda certs/degrees is a format for the musicI got some bread u mean like a press kit?

People into music still play CDs.. They sound better than MP3 files and easier to exchange, plus they can look at your cover and inside better to get a feel for what energy you bring.. This is why Lisa's advice to go out and meet people stands true today.. CD sales are down but that just shows more initiative if you run up by chance on someone and they ask how far you drove to get here, you tell em "bout a hour drive, gotta start finding some prospects".. Always good to have the tapes online too and the videos up there.. But you can give out your channel easier than the music w/ just a card or if yall exchange numbers.. Shyt.. even talking
Just get out and sell if you got a place.. You don't even need a cover fr fr, and if you can spit offhand do that to prove yaself.. And have the phone ready if they want to hear a sample. Having a nice cover is a good idea but give it like 2-3 weeks of attention before you move on, or stay grindin while you're working on that. Let the record help handle the merch shyt when you at that bridge
One thing I will warn you that Left Eye ain't say is.. And it should be obvious to you but don't make your mixtape too much like your album if you got people listening already.. Like she said, make some songs that represent the general direction you wanna go in but don't go too hard.. Remember Tinashe... the record you sign with can change your shyt up real quick and you will have no recourse.. The purpose of the mixtape is to impress and go to a higher level from that.. Absolutely don't plan on your mixtape being a "rough draft" of your album..
