If this mania doesn't have the highest buyrates ever, is it rock's fault?

If it was Rock vs. Brock then it would break records for sure. Movie star vs a legitimate MMA fighter? It writes itself and the media would eat it up. Why the fukk isnt this happening?

Nah, can't put the whole thing on his back.

True, because there are so many other factors that go into it such as the economy(people probably can't afford to buy Mania this year), the fact that the main event happened last year and it was hyped up as an once in a lifetime match and the fact that the product is shytty overall(which you can thank Vince and the writers for). But being that this is TSC, where logic is checked at the front door when you're discussing The Rock and it's like either you stan him or you hate him, like I said, if he's getting all the credit for the ratings and the buyrates of the last two PPVs being up, then expect him to get all the flak if the buyrates for Mania don't surpass last year or if they're not in the top 5.

Well the team bring it members are the real delusional ones :manny: they attributed all the previous positive ratings and buys to the Rock . With that logic you can't just say oh it's Vince's fault if he doesn't break records ( it'll be a combination of things really) because we know damn sure if it does do big numbers the rock will get so much praise .

Rock actually will help Mania's buyrate. Even though most of us don't wanna see the rematch, the casual wrestling fan or watcher will check it out just because Rock, Brock and the streak threat.

How is the Crock gonna help the buyrate go beyond what it would have without him? When he isn't on WWE tv, which is often he is sweeping wrestling under the rug like its a dirty secret. :dwillhuh:

i mean all these "ratings" talk and how he runs the business is cute, last years mania did a milli but so did the one cena/hbk headlined

it might be the most predictable BUT probably has some of the most star power available wrestling wise with rock as the wwe champion. If it doesn't do the highest numbers, is it considered a let down? i mean greatness knows no limits right? So rock's greatness surely reach all time numbers, right?

It's 2013, Rock only pops up for several weeks out the year.....he's not the direct cause if WM faills, but he can be a direct cause if it's a success. There's more people/fans cheering him than are boo'ing him.

PErsonally, I'm indifferent to the Rock these days. I wouldnt cheer or boo him if I was in a live crowd. I just want him to deliver.

He isn't on Raw or Smackdown casually, but you know he is gonna be at Mania. Even if he's not on WWE tv they will remind you constantly throughout Raw or Smackdown that he is defending the title at WM 29 against Cena. For the WWE it looks stupid that the champ of the company is never on the show and hasn't competed on tv for almost a month and a half. Yet this another product of the fukkery era, you hate to watch it but you watch it anyway. The true test of Mania buyrates will be when you don't have the streak looming around anymore for guaranteed viewing.

WM30. Why use that up when your 30th anniversary show is next year? They will cake off of 29 regardless.
