If this mania doesn't have the highest buyrates ever, is it rock's fault?

i mean all these "ratings" talk and how he runs the business is cute, last years mania did a milli but so did the one cena/hbk headlined

it might be the most predictable BUT probably has some of the most star power available wrestling wise with rock as the wwe champion. If it doesn't do the highest numbers, is it considered a let down? i mean greatness knows no limits right? So rock's greatness surely reach all time numbers, right?

Nope! The Rock can only do so much. You'd have to blame Cokeboy and company for not building stars and delivering stories to capture the public, coasting 365 24/7 and waiting for Rock and these other part-timers to bail them out.

That one did more than Cena/Rock.

In a logical world, no. As long as he does great numbers (which I'm sure he will), it's all good. He doesn't have to keep breaking records to justify his worth.

In TSC, I'd lean towards yes. You have some that will defend his mostly bland/corny comeback content (as in entertainment wise) with ratings and buyrates, so why shouldn't he knock it outta the park for the WM buyrate to justify some of the Cookiepuss and Honey Boo Boo shyt we've had to sit through?

No one has bigger numbers than the Rock in the wrestling industry on PPV. WM 28's Rock show...biggest international rate ever. WM 17 biggest American buyrate ever. And the booking/McMahons are at fault if WM 29 doesn't feel as big as WM 28. The McMahons are obsessed with the Cena experiment and that will lead to their bad second half of 2013.

Oh look at this..he's been missing the news over the last 9 months:laugh:

The Rock headlined the most successful wrestling even that was ever produced. More than anything ever....the Trump number was beaten. The Hogan era was beaten. The Austin era was beaten. He stands with no peer these days. He's his own island..Raw was doing 2.5s in November and December. Rock comes back and instantly the shyt is almost back to 4.0 for a 3 hour fukking travesty of a show, no less. That's greatness. That's no limits.

WM28 had the highest buyrate. Even more impressive because WMs been on the down turn for the past couple of years

Yeah, the last report on Mania 28 had it slightly above 23. It just didn't reach 1.3 million as first reported by WWE.

Yeah but the Cena number wasn't you homo. Cena has mainevented the 2 highest bought PPVs in Wrestling History on Earth.

Soon to be 3.

Rock will be at 2.

So by simple math, 3 is more than 2 and Cena is better than Rock.

WTF are up talking about? LOL. Cena hasn't drawn anything on PPV since what? WM 22 or some shyt. Dude is why they lose viewers every year. Why everyone is so happy CM Punk got over and became a big deal. He's nowhere near what you think he is. He can't do a 3.0 on his own in this day and age. The Rock is why WM 29 sold 51k in one day...why there is any hope for this PPV to do a million buys. Cena can't even sell out his own building in Boston. He's not "2" or "3" nobody. He's a sap attached to the Rock's time in front of the camera. That's it. That whole angle with Punk at MITB 2011 barely did a 20k increase or some shyt from the Nexus era. Pitiful. Rock comes back and Rumble does 500k and WM 29 instantly matters and isn't some dog shyt event like it was for WM 26 and WM 25.
