I was with you all the way up until this statement. Black people should fight tooth and nail for our own issues and quit worrying about what other people are getting. Immigration is not our fight either way, we should concentrate on things that effect us.

It's not a zero sum game. But "fighting tooth and nail" to demand the amnesty of non-violent offenders in prison because amnesty might be given to illegal aliens is nonsensical.

What does one have to do with the other? You can still fight for non-violent offenders unjustly incarcerated without bringing up immigration. It seems like you are driven by your prejudices more than any real concern for incarcerated people of color.

Pushing for blanket amnesty is essentially turning the other cheek towards criminal behavior and punishing those law abiding citizens who actually chose to play by the rules and emigrate to this country via the numerous legal mechanisms that abound.
