Sounds like you have an issue with the Ravens having expectations. :lolbron:

Nah, I'm just pointing out the usual 'Seum etiquette :pachaha:

Sort of like when a player has high expectations and fails and one of said player's stans here bring up another player having the same high expectations and committing the same failure on some "whataboutism" :lolbron:

 You know exactly what I'm referring to, pleihboi. :birdman:

The only way to balance things is for every contender to have a thread of expectations, especially a contender with a resume like the Ravens. The reason people are upset is twofold. 1. They are upset because they probably don't understand what DVOA is. 2. They are upset because all of a sudden the Ravens are the Coli hero because their own teams got knocked off by those same niners. Lol.

Transparency is a wonderful thing.

I wish my squad had the expectations BOTH the 49ers and Ravens have this year. :francis:

Unfortunately, my squad won't have any expectations until Stinky, Sid, and Derek fukkin CAC (along with others like Ruiz :scust: @smitty22) are tossed off the Crescent City Connection into the Mississippi below. :birdman:

And Loomis can join them for allowing that shyt to happen. :camby:

Whats your opinion of their 2019 defense?
I was routinely working on Sundays in 2019 so I only got to watch 3 games all year. The blowout win vs Miami, the back half of the 49ers game, and the playoff loss vs Tennessee. Can’t accurately give an assessment of that unit. I know they had good numbers, but it’s another thing entirely to watch them in real time and see all the little things that won’t show up on a stat sheet.

Definitely not. Especially since all their losses this year are because the D blew late 4th quarter leads
The Indianapolis loss was on them totally mismanaging the clock along with a pair of missed penalties by the colts (1 on the final regulation drive and another on the 4th down play where the ravens turned it over on downs). Tucker also missed the go ahead/game winning kick (to be fair it was a 60 yard attempt).

The Pittsburgh loss was on the 10 dropped passes by the skill positions which took at minimum 11 points off the board. The defense was excellent that game but the offense and the coaching staff blew it. The offense also had a bad turnover late that set the Steelers up for the go ahead score. That was the quintessential example of the offense blowing it on every chance to put the game away and the defense eventually ran out of gas.

The defense was bad after halftime vs Cleveland but it was also only 3 drives the browns had in the second half and the offense blew it took.

I’ll give you the Cleveland loss but the other two aren’t it.

Ok. Point taken. You are correct about numbers being mialeading. Im a big proponent of using analytics and eye test to determine the authenticity or fraudulence, of a ranking.

Not winning the Super Bowl won’t be an all time choke job but they can’t have a repeat of 2019 assuming they get the 1 seed.

At minimum they have to get to the AFC Championship game.

The Bills & Browns look like the biggest threat.

Can’t overlook the Chiefs because of history but offensively they just don’t seem to have it this year.

They definitely have to get to the Superbowl
Their worst nightmare would be the Steelers sneaking into the playoffs (along with the Browns who should be the 5 seed)
Cause I think the Steelers can take out the AFC South winner potentially and if they face the Ravens in round 2 that is a brutal match up for the Ravens who always seem to struggle with the Steelers no matter how shytty they are

If no nfc teams has an epiphany in rhe offs.

Right now...
It seems belichek really swayed the power completely to the afc as a standard moving forward.

This year really exposed the nfc have been frauds.
compared to old school dominating nfc football. Those days seem to be over and the dominance of the nfc teams ever coming Back.
from back in the day is over.

It will be weird moving forward.
trying to get used to this actual real change. For a while it just seemed other afc teams competed to the pats and beli. beli, was built from nfc superbowl domination to segueway into the afc changing of guard or power. Now it seems since no pats, beli or Brady. The afc is the dominant conference moving forward. Where nfc teams will seem like the weaker conference.
as a constant moving forward. It is a wild dynamic. Plus power shiftTo witness and see change over time. When previously I never would have thought this would take place. as a permanent thing moving forward.

Now afc >>>> nfc

shyt crazy.
