This is going to flop, it's stupid AF to drop an collab album with a washed up R&B singer right losing a rap battle this badly :snoop:

He needs to drop an above average SOLO album with a few HIT songs.
If it flops or underperform, they'll just place the blame on it being a collab album and it gives him more time for this Kendrick shyt to blow over :yeshrug:

I forgot that were going to have the most tedious first week sales discussion since Views when Hotline Bling was on there
there is as big an incentive on both sides of wanting it to succeed and fail, I'm not one to get into or care about numbers but that shyt probably doing 200 and up

There’s a reason why he picked a collab album with pnd to be his first full project after getting stomped out.

It will do ok numbers (200k-350k) but not what his solo does - he can use this to gauge how his solo will do and use it being a collab as an excuse if the numbers are bad.

I doubt it'll do 300K, we'll see

Drake is still popular so I think he easily gonna do 300K.

I may be wrong tho :manny:

Of course he's popular - he's one of the biggest rappers/pop stars around, but it's a joint project with a lesser quantity, and I don't think he has the machine behind him like in previous projects. I also didn't like that preview song - sounded super generic and derivative of everything PND has done so far

That said - there will be a lot of interest in the project seeing as it's coming on the back of all this - so maybe that'll boost it. I think it might fall just short of 300K

See. I figured it wasn’t doing 300K.

He’s still popular but he needs a more focused project rather than a bloated generic R&B 21 tracks album with a lesser quantity (PND) - and without the machine - 300K was always going to be a tough ask. he’s also lucky this album had the “post-beef” interest stimulus - where his fanbase rallied and even put up digital campaigns to boost it - otherwise it would have done worse.

He needs an undeniable summer hit for his solo joint - and maybe a few leaks of verses where he’s talking big dog shyt/sneak dissing some of his pops as roll out, and that will carry his solo
