The singles off Paper Trail was some of the biggest singles from a rapper I can remember. Swagga Like Us, Whatever You Like, Live Your Life, Dead And Gone, them 4 shyts was EVERYWHERE for a good year at least. He really did fall off a cliff popularity wise after that.
Never got it back after he went to jail. You can’t drop dead and gone and then go back to prison.

I hated Live your life, and Dead and Gone, especially Dead and Gone. That kicked him out of the group of the few rappers I liked after 2000.i haven't been interested in anything he dropped after Paper Trail. He had a good peak, but never reached the peak Wayne reached. But the machine did have his back after King. He was almost getting the "Jonathan Majors treatment" we saw last year before it all derailed. Going to jail was not a good thing for him.

Wayne's charisma and artistry grew, TI seamed to be the same TI from start to finish imo. They both fell off, which is inevitable.
I hear you. I think he overexposed himself with the reality tv stuff and the music got worse and didn't age quite as well as Wayne's did.

nikka this is a whole ass lie. And Wanye been trash for over 12 years. Tip music still sounds good today. Wayne discography hardly exists outside of mixtapes. He knew that that's why he kept putting out fukking mixtapes.
