I don’t think it’s really worth it at the end of the day. Even FF7 remake wasn’t a smash hit. I think the most profitable thing Square enix has right now is final fantasy 14.

Not worth buying a company who’s biggest games only do 5 mil max these days.

DQXI, FFXV, and KH3 all did well over 5 million units....and that's just the Japanese arm of the company. And Pokemon is the biggest rpg in Japan.

Square owns crystal dynamics/eidos interactive. What you mean is they don’t develop them in their eastern division. They own tomb raider, deus ex, and hitman.

Revenue from producing titles for 4 platforms vs. 1 or 2, assuming Sony still allows them release titles on PC

Granted square probably gets most of its revenue nowadays from mobile phone games
