As a heat fan, you have 2 players that can go end to end with the ball. Durant can't do that very effectively.

More than that, if every play is ran through Durant, what to the Thunder gain? Durant can be freakishly efficient, but the heat can shut down a Durant ran offense faster than they can Westbrook just because WEstbrook can break down multiple defenders.

What do people consider Durant to be? He's not Tim Duncan where you can pass him the ball near the key and let him go to work or make the right pass. If you have him running off screens all night, his spider legs will fail.

Westbrook going nutty is not a bad idea, especially since the Thunder typically are good at getting offensive rebounds at key moments. KD should be catching more of his bricks.

Yup....And the thing about KD is when he can't post a player up or take it to the hoop, his shots are pushed further and further away from the basket to the point that he doesn't allow himself to get enough shots because he puts himself out of the picture. shyt...he didn't allow himself to even get any offensive boards being so far from the basket.

oh come on. So now we can't analyze single plays...of the Finals?

Ridiculous.
whats ridiculous is to single out that one play when they were up by 17 at one point and your other two great players were non-existent.

i agree with everything you said except the bolded. he's actually very good coming off of off-ball screens. its strange to me that Brooks doesnt use it more.

I agree he's good at it. I don't know if that's a good idea for 40 minutes a night though. I realize reggie and RIP have done it but it does require a level of conditioning that KD hasn't dedicated himself to.

:rudy: sometimes I swear people on here argue just to argue.
Yes trip there's no denying that he made a mental lapse but there's also no denying that without him going off that night they wouldn't even be in the situation where the lapse comes into play.
You're saying it's easier to forgive a physical lapse than a mental one but if you think that fatigue didn't play a role in his mental lapse then you're probably mistaken.

Man...I'm quite satisfied with Trip being the ONLY ONE that doesn't get it. It doesn't mesh well with his AM sports talk radio caller sensibilities.

lol, when did I ever say that? I said mental lapses are more preventable.

The fact that people are incapable of separating the two is just bizarre.

what buggin' me about what Trip is saying, is what he isnt saying. he glosses over the 17 point lead and how Harden and Durant vanished.

How am I glossing that over. The bigger picture is Harden has been awful and Durant has turned invisible come crunch time. Overall, those two factors are why the Thunder are down 3-1

However, with the way the actual game played out last night, if Westbrook knew the rule they probably would have had a shot to tie it up.

Harden and Fisher missed uncontested layups AND shots in the last 6-7 minutes of the 4th quarter last night. And this is when the score was tied or OKC had a lead.

The blame is on them and Durant...not Russell. Russell Westbrook was like the only person scoring in the final couple minutes of that game. AND he was'nt getting his fouls BTW.

They're mutually exclusive in my opinion. You dont think they are ...its cool.

If it were a physical error I wouldnt be arguing(say missing a layup)....but it was a mental cramp, which doesn't tie in to his physical play. He screwed up.
Breh isn't that what you're saying RIGHT HERE :piss:
Edit: my bad you said you wouldn't be arguing :bryan: but meh it sounded the same to me :manny:

I feel worse for Durant. At the end where his mom was giving him a pep talk he looked so down. Plus he seems like a real humble dude. As a Sonics fan that hates OKC, I'm a Durant fan.
