Two grown men who wanna square up should be allowed to shoto the fair one. Of course, if your boy starts losing then you call it, give the other cat his W, and KIM.
Someone bullying one of your peops (assuming he doesn't want it for some reason), multiple cats tryna jump him, or even a nice sucker punch are all reasons to jump in. Either way, no one should fight to the death over the type of dumb s*** that hood boogas kill for. Even if you are 10 on 10 no one should be trying to seriously injure anyone.
The problem nowadays is that dudes are straight up bloodthirsty. They are out looking for an excuse. In this environment the only reasonable reaction for a civilized person is to disengage altogether. Sure you COULD go all out and wage total war on anyone who so much as looked at you wrong, but in the end you're fighting to the death for a scuffed shoe or a conversation between your girl and some guy. There is only one word for this behavior: stupid.

It is what it is. On rare occasions when you're boy is duking it out with another nikka over a bytch then yeah, nikkas just sit back and let them handle that. But back then when I was a teenager (a no shyt active blood), most of the fights was over gang shyt. So most of the time if your boy is getting into it with another nikka it was someone from a rival set that said some disrespectful shyt.
