Already been there. High school was the worst. Was smoking blunts with a good friend of mine with serious anger issues. We was high as fukk walking by a group of dudes. One of them made some offhanded comment like "them nikkas look high as fukk". Not a big deal. Just like that my boy lost it came up in that dudes face and was like "if you got a problem then say it with your fists". 20 of them, 2 of us. I won't lie man I was really scared. I thought we was gonna die. Like I envisioned us getting shot up. My boy and the dude started fighting. I'm just watching the scene. Out of nowhere someone else tried to start swinging on my boy. At that point I stopped thinking and just reacted. I connected some hits, caught a few hits. A bottle broke, some nikka ran to his car to get 'something' and thankfully cops came. We ran like hell. I got respect for doing what I did, but I was scared for my life and only reacted with the fight or flight instinct.

Bronx. Right across the street from a club. It was late night and people were across the street. It was the main reason why i thought we were dead, because I've seen this story play out many times in the papers. It's also why the cops came so quickly.

That's why I'm not even on some tough guy shyt when I tell the story. It's also why I feel like no one can say what they are gonna do until something goes down. Ive seen tough talkers back down with the quickness. The whole time I felt like running, but when shyt got real I started swinging. Hell I remember for days after I wasn't trying to leave my crib because peeps was telling me nikkas was looking for us and blah blah. Thinking about it now man it's a miracle we didn't get killed. I've read countless stories in the papers of shyt like this ending in a shooting. Especially in the Bronx.

Everyone in my close circle all agreed on this...you chew what you bite. Finish what you start.

Now if someone ran up on my friend starting shyt, even one on one, I'll jump in if my friend starts losing. However, if he starts some shyt solo, he's gonna take that L solo if it comes, providing that no one from the other party jumps in. I used to run with some cats who would start shyt solo, but it end up being a brawl...after a few times of that happening, I stopped hanging with em. These days I'd rather kick back, sip, and pick something up rather than engage in unnecessary drama that some dumb fukk done started.
