There's some top level all time great names on that list brehs

Oh so we just gonna count people that started elsewhere?

So Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar can be put down for NJPW then?

So Dean Ambrose, Bobby Roose and Eric Young aren't painfully average in the ring?

Nakamura's best days were when he was at NXT?

AOP are top talent just because they had a title run?

Really interested to know your criteria for a top talent. Is it just they have to be booked well for a decent amount of time? Or be decent on the mic? Is Ambrose your GOAT?

NXT > New Japan :manny:

NJPW feels like a whole bunch of similar shyt to me. I can't get into it.

NXT stays fresh because people get drafted to the main roster before I have time to get bored of them. Meanwhile I feel like Okada has been in every NJPW main event since like 1996.

Another thing that's better about NXT is the shows don't drag on for too long. I just looked up the card for Sakura Genesis, and they had a 30 minute match between Will Ospreay and Marty Scurll, then Okada went 34 minutes with Zack Sabre Jr  Y'all really watching all that? Like for real?

fukk yes, those matches were awesome. Good wrestlers can go long and keep you interested. I would rather watch that than three 10 minute matches that are just "matches" (Not talking about NXT in general). But if you can' keep attention to wrestling for 30 minutes at a time, I can totally understand why people can't get into long matches. Pretty much, imagine really good WWE PPV matches, they go around that long. Now imagine in NJPW they have those really good matches ON THE REGULAR.

That's kind of the issue I have. When there are multiple 25+ minute matches on every card trying to be 'epic', it starts to become monotonous to me. Especially when it's never any women on the card, rarely any gimmick matches, rarely any major fukkery to laugh at... The variety is lacking. Every card just some combination of Japanese guys x Corny gaijins in technically proficient matches that go on forever, with the odd strongstyle slugfest involving Ishii and a bunch of skip tier tag/trios matches on the undercard.

Neither Kenny Omega nor any of those British indie guys interest me enough to want to watch them wrestle for 30 minutes.
:manny:

Minoru Suzuki is dope tho. I like Ibushi too (no homo), maybe if he gets the title I'll be more inclined to watch.
