If Muhammad is seen as a human being why all the uproar when people make fun of him?

No religious group gets as incensed at a perceived slight on their religion as Muslims do.

Devout Christians, Hindus, Jews, etc get just as offended as a devout Muslim.

And a non-practising Muslim is barely offended just as much as a non-practising Jew, Christian, etc.

CNN and Fox really must brainwash a lot of you

I don't watch neither. And If I were to watch a news channel it would be Al Jazeera English.

:whoo:
Seems to me this makes him more then human.

Would you like it if one of your family members was depicted in a slanderous way with the sole purpose of antagonizing you? If there was a drawing of Peg Bundy on her knees surrounded by 5 naked men how would that make you feel?

And it is deeper than that because in Islam, depicting the prophet is prohibited for the fact that the message was bigger than the man. It doesn't matter what he looked like. The Christians took their prophet for worship and the idea is to avoid this.

So now that you know how you would personally feel about a similar scenario, and you also now know why Muslims don't want to see the prophet depicted, tell me what kind of person would do such a thing? They're clearly not doing it to make friends.

And FYI, I don't condone the violent reactions at all, as they are certainly un-Islamic according to the Qur'an, but those who blatantly disrespect are definitely in the wrong as well. Their depictions are drawn with ill intent.

its funny how we Muslims get into this ape shid mode when defending the Prophet, saw,

there's a hadith where some jews said to the prophet: As-Samu 'Alaika (i.e., death be upon you) and the Prophet would calmly reply "Wa alaikum" (i.e. and upon you).

Muslims today don't realize Prophet Muhammad faced, heard, and dealt with a lot more in terms of the haters... nikkas are too emotional now a days and don't think... like burning shid and killing people is going to fix things. If folks are gonna call the Prophet a savage, we got just enough ammo to call those idiots savages too. :yeshrug:

It's disgusting the way they act and disappointing we have to take the time to try to educate the ignorant masses who "learn" about Islam by watching the news.

The Ummah!
Muslims are obligated to love Mohammad infinitely more than their own parents.
This is true, and the prophet PBUH was equivalent to a Koran in his lessons. Anything that was not in the koran we should follow his lead as to how he lived.

I respect the hijab and the right to wear it and all, but there's something about that fukin full body shiit...disgusts me man...they have a right to wear it (most of the time), but it pains me :ohlawd:

well thats your personal opinion, friend, because when I see a sister wearing that, similar to a thawb for a man it makes me happy that they dont give a fukk what society thinks about them, they are doing what they want to. I think the people who are forced against their will to wear that are far less.

Now I am not talking about the thing that covers up the entire face, but hey I'm sure some women like that...so I'm not going to judge them.

Now why do Muslims go crazy when some one insults the prophet? its useless to answer, but why keep doing it? Muslims are not going to stop retaliating for that. How hard is it to not insult a man that doesn't directly affect you?

me personally if some one made fun of my mother and did not know her the insults would be false and not worthy of retaliation. Because if someone who does not know her calls her a whore and those that know her will not believe them and that messenger is considered a liar. If you have to use violence to stop people from believing a lie that is being spread then all you teach people is that you should not speak that lie in front of you, not stopping them from believing the lie.

You have only applied one variable of the scenario. It's beyond just making fun of the prophet, it is disrespecting the beliefs of Muslims. The people who make these cartoons and videos know how Muslims feel about the depiction of the prophet. So it's more than just someone making fun of your mother and not knowing her. These people KNOW Islam's stance on the matter, so they are not strangers to that particular element in the religion.

Would you invite a vegan to your home and purposely offer them meat knowing they don't eat it? That would be mocking the individual person and going out of your way to blatantly disrespect their ideals. And it is completely unnecessary.

I'm not trying to take away their right to be ignorant and blatantly disrespectful. But I'm questioning why anyone would defend that type of behavior.

hell of a post

i have a problem with the fact that people believe allah will reward them for being a martyr. its an incredibly destructive idea that the world would be better off without. i made a thread that no one wanted to touch that simply asked, do all the negatives that come with religion outweigh the positives. i believe that we would be better off without any of it

I see a lot of people saying this too with the martyrs , suicide bombers and all the violence media throws on Islam again this is just the times we live in people seem to forget a lil thing called the crusades in which somewhere between 1 to 9 MILLION people died all in the name of spreading the ever so peacefully religion of Christianity

Crusades - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Twentieth Century Atlas - Historical Body Count

and thats all before they started spreading Christianity to what is known now as north and south america throw in the number of native life's lost there and :dead: you tell me who has a more violent god or more violent followers?

:manny: white man does a great job of making people forget about the past

and with the whole Muhammad being a pedo thing lets not even start on how adam and eve managed to populate the whole word. Incest anybody? :takedat:

You really have to look no further than probably the last 50 years and you will see that Islam is the most vilafied culture and more specifically religion on earth, this modern hate has its roots in the Israeli/Palestinian issue but its actually a bit more deeper and simpler than that IMO, its a white man vs the Arab man thing. The white man , and i use the term loosely, has pretty much been able to conquer/assimilate/destroy all other people at one point or another. They have done this through either brute force or using Christianity to have people they deem "Savages" bend to there will.

The Arab has been harder almost impossible to conquer in that sense , they are willing to die for there religion and culture. White man has done a great job in make islam look evil. I mean just look in this thread people are really upset because the Muslim women were hijabs. I see it online all the time people talking about "We need to rescue these women" etc. I have said it before but does anyone stop and think for a second maybe most these women are happy? Do you see mulsim people trying to cover up american women as much? No they live there lifes and dont worry about the next person.

The same thing happens on bigger scale when it comes to this democracy thing, people always talking about dictatorship and cruel dictators etc etc when it was in this same U.S.A not even 100 years ago where this was happening Journal E: Without Sanctuary: Lynching Photography in America two things are crazy about the link 1. it shows lynching of African Americans 2. these pictures were used as POSTCARDS until the late 1950's here sent through the regular mail and used as collectibles . Am not going to rant about slavery but what part of that is democratic? what part of that is civilized ? Should we have been invaded? Are Americans savages for using pictures of death as mailing cards? So who are we to tell other people about there how violent or ignorant there culture and religion is when america is the one that refined violence and religious ignorance

but yea i got a bif off topic, you really cant go around disrespecting another cultures god and not expect to get any backlash, this is bigger than just the prophet Muhammad trust that, Arabs have learned and VERY SMARTLY that you cant give the white man a single inch because they will take the whole foot.

If only native americans and Africans had done the same hundred of years ago, think what the world would have been now

Why don't Muslims clean in house before they go for people outside of Islam. I mean you can kill non believers but false prophets can be made into Heros.

This is a stupid a$$ question.

This is like Christians getting offended by me drawing a protrait of Jesus butt naked on all fours with only a dog collar that is being tugged on by Lucifer and the Son of God is getting a bukakke from a couple of his demons, with another demon plowing Jesus from behind and Jesus is going :ahh::noah:

...and I'm asking "Why are you all so offended?". :dwillhuh:

Of course they're gonna be offended, just like the muslims are gonna be offended. They revere Muhammed, and if you mock him they're gonna be angry.

Now I do agree that, violence is overkill indeed, but that obviously isn't the point of the OP. I think it should be pretty obvious as to why they're mad. Even if Muhammed is seen as a man, he is still respected and revered by Muslims.

of all the muslims on this site, your ability to rationalize every single negative thing that muslims do is by far the most disgusting.
