Fans don't have the same type of respect for Meek Mill. You can respect everyone else for putting artists on or putting their hometown on or at least staying out the way, but Meek is the opposite. He pulled up the ladder from underneath him and Philly rap been in a bad place ever since, especially when Meek was on top.
He never put Philly rappers on, and actually went out of his way to sabotage Philly street rappers time and time again. We've literally had YouTubers like Akademiks, VladTV and Adam22 say from their own mouths in recent months that they didn't used to bring Philly rappers on their platforms because they didn't want problems with Meek Mill. That changed in 2024 when Akademiks had Poundside Pop and Quilly on, and Adam22 had Quilly, Skrilla and YBC Dul on. All that after the latest Meek scandal from the LGBT shyt and the Twitter meltdowns. Even Ross told him to fukk his feelings and premiered his Drake diss through Ak right after Meek's career-destroying beef with him.
Meek Mill was directly and indirectly blackballing nikkas. Hell, even Phat Geez who was killed a few months ago, whom Meek posted about after his death (Meek will never post an aspiring Philly rapper that's
