If Meek Mill was popular, would he have won against Drake?

Meek didn’t take Drake seriously at all. By the time he responded people had already formed their opinions and he dropped a snippet of a diss
Meek Mill's positions were all incoherent nonsense to begin with, so he was never winning the beef. :heh:

Meek felt slighted by Drake and initiated a beef.
Meek wanted Quentin Miller to write for him, but since he didn't Meek chased him at a store in public.
Meek exposed Drake for having ghostwriters after wanting to and failing to hire the same ghostwriter.
Meek lost his shyt and started beefing with AR-AB and OBH just because Drake namedropped AR-AB.

It's not just Drake who got knocked off from MC contention after this beef, Meek can't be in the conversation either. He is on record trying to hire ghostwriters and any of his music might be ghostwritten.

popularity is only part of it.

meek had bad strategy, he did drop some tough diss tracks on drake thoug, but people weren't just looking at it from a music perspective.

in my opinion he should lose any beef automatically if his opponent is writing his own raps and he isn't, but unfortunately there are way too many people that don't give a shyt about the milli vanilli shyt.

Revisiting their songs, I find the Meek ones to be better...feel like drake only won because of the twitter bots and his instagram memes
Meek was very popular at the time. Meek was stupid and mishanled that situation. And he made a bad song

Also Drake was nearly untouchable at the time. He's been on the decline in recent years

No.

Simply put, 2015 Drake was pretty much teflon. Didn't matter what he threw at Drake, it wasn't going to give him a W. It didn't make it any easier that he had "R.I.C.O" out featuring Drake and was crying about Drake not tweeting his album. It was a wrap once he got hit "is that a world tour or your girl tour" and "you got bodied by a singing nikka".

no. "i just wanna know" was the worst mixed diss song i ever heard in my life. he was literally screaming on the microphone.

in hindsight him having the quentin miller reference track playing in the middle of the diss was retarded

Yeah, I respect bruhs opinions but Drake was a juggernaut at that point. I think Meek would’ve faired better with more intentional strategies; however when you have Wendy’s roasting you and chiming in on hip hop beef via twitter, shyt was over before it even got started.

Far as I know, we still ain't heard why Meek even had a problem with this dude except that he didn't tweet about his album
drama told him drake aint write it

Meek Mill lost the beef on his own accord, the public was ready to kill Drake for the reference tracks. Meek just fumbled being a pillhead.
he did have slurred speech on wanna kno

but the publix was pro drake still they wasnt "red to kill drake"

still meek > drake
