If Meek Mill was popular, would he have won against Drake?

Meek lost because he had no coherent strategy and let Drake dictate everything. Meek was way more popular than Pusha T. But if you gonna go at someone popular as Drake though you gotta be strategic

That song with the Undertaker sample was weak outside the QM reference vocals and got pulled down quick because he didn't clear the sample. Can't remember the timeline exactly but Flex was hyping the hell out of a Meek diss he was gonna debut and Meek never turned it in :snoop:

By the time Meek had a decent track in the mix it was already over

Also wouldn't be surprised if Meek was told to fall back by MMG and Roc Nation. If I was Ross, I would have been hot, because he had a great relationship with Drake that was beneficial to MMG and Meek fukked that up for no reason. Far as I know, we still ain't heard why Meek even had a problem with this dude except that he didn't tweet about his album

Meek WAS popular when this started
This, said it in one of the beef threads last week, but Kendrick would’ve been the only one to pull off a win. While Cole rebounded and had regained his place among the big three, most of the peers from their class—KRIT, Wale, Whiz, Meek, etc.—were on a different tier and/or had smaller cult followings.

Also, while he was never going to win, it cannot be understated how poorly meek strategized altogether. Beef with the biggest rapper in the world while on tour and play your biggest card on Twitter, bruhs :beli:

AND WAR PAIN WAS CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED.

Meek Mill's complete incompetence is how he lost and got embarrassed against Drake.

He was popular, he had a great album that had just came out. He literally had the ghostwriting reveal and still got washed due to dropping weak ass diss tracks and not having any strategy whatsoever. I don't even remember any of his diss tracks towards Drake.

:mjlol:What Drake always does. He fukked Nicki Minaj behind Meek's back.

No reason to look that deep into it. Didn't have to do with popularity. It always come down to the music. The better music/song is going to win. That "I just wanna know" joint was basura and everybody was rocking with Back to Back.. that's pretty much what it came down to. Drake had the better song/bars and all the memes that came out of it.. basically the exact same thing that is happening to him now vs. Kendrick
