the reason tyson and marciano are considered :scusthov: compared to ali is actually because everybody they fought against would've been :dead: in that era.
:smh: at your example. Tyson is remembeedr is the greatest champ of the 90's but rarely does he make it into anyones top ten list. Espn's 2007 pound for pound all time list had Tyson at 50 and rocky at 14. Joe Louis was ranked 4 but he actually fought some great fighters, i don't know why you included him in your statement.

who did Joe Louis fight? Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles were good fighters not great. Primo Carnera was ehh. Schmeling was solid, the rest of those guys were known as bum of the month. It is well known that his era was one of the weakest in heavyweight history. It doesnt take away from his talent and accomplishments. I got Louis as my #2 heavyweight.

Tyson is known as the greatest champ of the 90's? :whoa: He wasnt even the greatest heavyweight of the 90s. Holyfield was.

I agree.

I don't find them boring at all.. They knock out everyone the come across.

It's there hieght and strength that makes them so good.

There's a piece where Tyson gives them slot if praise.

The universally accepted greatness of Pacquiáo I think pretty much kills this argument... the heavyweight division being weak to the point of Klitschko being seen as dominant by essentially default has more to do with it than him not being american

and somehow you expect Klitschko to crack this list because? what? because he did the same thing marciano did 100 years later when interest in the sport was at an all time low?. in order to be considered you need to defeat great opponents. the only reason you remember Holyfield is because he got his ear bitten off by tyson. otherwise he'd just be a dude that lost to Lennox Lewis after beating a version of tyson that had alreadly lost to the bummy douglas.

Nice that he has a great record but his competition isn't what the true ALL TIME greats were. It's as simple as that. He'll never be seen on the Joe Louis/Ali/Frazier/Marciano level. No chance.

wtf, 100 years ago? Marciano fought in the 50s.
Holyfield was a great champ before he fought Tyson. You sound like a casual boxing fan. What u talbout breh :childplease:

What are you trying to argue, because you still havent named the great fighters Louis, and Marciano fought. Yeah the division is at an all time low now, but the Klits are doing exactly what those 2 did.

The 60's, 70's, and 90's are the best era's of heavyweight talent.

yeah he was a great technician, but more of a middleweight and light heavy. Jouis lost to him though, although he was past his prime.

Saw Wlad once, boring as fukk, I remember my nikka John Duddy had a FOTY candidate on the co-main, everyone chanting DUDDY DUDDY while the boring main event was going on.

Last time he's fought in USA.

:stopitslime:

Holyfield beat Riddikk Bowe twice, Tyson twice, George Foreman, Ray Mercer, Michael Moorer, Michael Dokes, Dwight Muhammad Qawi twice.

Undisputed at heavyweight and cruiserweight. Klitschko doesnt have near the resume Evander does
He only beat Bowe once breh
