But I would have to say that LeBron is the best combination of power, speed, and touch when needed. He never seems to out of control or unable to pull back when needed. Durant is coming in a close second.

Kobe is the exception because he's Kobe, Westbrook will definitely get better though.

i think that lebron has a very streaky touch. his game is good, but to keep it in its proper context, its good more as a result of his brute power and raw explosiveness, than his finesse or his grace. his game lacks a certain element of smoothness and grace, and his shooting touch has a hard and even jagged looking, streaky hit or miss quality to it.

to contrast that, think of somebody like dirk nowitzki, a very smooth and delicate kind of player but very unathletic player. his touch has a soft, nurturing quality to it and is such that, at times, you're almost surprised if the ball doesnt go in.

i think this is at least in part from the fact that nowitzki plays in a more slowed down, less explosive state. jordan was a good shooter always, but became a truly great shooter when he aged and his body forced him to slow down and become less explosive and powerful.

i think the term is something like athletic arrogance, but thats not quite what im trying to argue here. i just mean that, if you overdepend on athleticism, it will lead to a downgrade in other things that are inherently skill (ie accuracy, touch, grace, smoothness) based. this is where i think john wall is. like some other posters have already said, he should think about slowing his game down a little and be not so depedant on just his athleticism. basketball is a paradox because not only do you have to be very athletic you must also have the grace and awareness of a dart thrower or a piano player

Curry could still develop into one of the top pgs in the league. Next season will be a breakout one.....I hope.

And if Wall had Currys jumpshot:ohlawd:

I think Curry will have a breakout season. He has a center to play with for the 1st time in his career and a legit roster plus he won't have Monta taking the ball out his hands. He made almost half his shots last year. If that ankle held up he would've did numbers. Never really got a chance to see him and Klay start a game together either.

thats like saying if oden had knees

somethings will never happen. accept it

If Kidd developed a J...and even Rondo improved...

Give Wall another 10 years or so, when that athleticism starts to go down he'll have to develop one.

Wall will be fine. Out of all the top PG, He had the worst teammates. He's got a decent team now, let'ssee what he'll do with it.

Wall misses more layups than anybody I've ever seen with that kind of athleticism

Not really. I've watched maybe 90% of all Wall's NBA career. He does miss a lot but so does :deadrose: and nobody says anything. It really doesnt matter though, cause he gets to the line a lot...more than any other PG. Which means he prolly expects contact going up.

Wall could easily average 22 and 10 with the right players around him as early as next year. He is a true point guard n every sense but he just needs to slow down on the court sometimes. He definitely has gotta get at least a reliable 15-18 foot jumper to keep the defender honest. Remember when he came out of high school "the experts' were saying he was better and more athletic than D-Rose. Now while i can't say that he can get to the rim at will, he just has to learn to finish a little better. But the sky is the limit for him if he wants it.

getting a jumpshot will come, im more concerned with his turnovers and pacing himself

Wall is a pure PG, he is pass first, and now has better teammates

• Those who shot poorly on drives included: John Wall (43 percent in 26 recorded games), Danny Granger (48 percent in 14 games), Raymond Felton (46 percent in 13 games), Klay Thompson (39 percent in 31 games), Monta Ellis (47 percent in 37 games) and Derrick Williams (33 percent in 22 games).

• Something really interesting happened in Denver last season. One report tracked every time a player drove the ball from an area 20 feet or more from the basket into an area 10 feet or fewer from the hoop — an event generally considered a healthy thing for an offense. The data excluded fast-break drives, which is important to note, since Denver ended up leading the league in qualifying drives by a wide margin. The Nuggets averaged 24.5 drives per game, miles above the league average of 14.6 and pretty significantly above the No. 2 mark (Cleveland, 18.5). Ty Lawson averaged 9.1 drives per game on his own, the highest mark in the league, and more than the Lakers averaged as a team (7.2, a league-low). :flabbynsick:

Wall is not in the same class as Rose when it comes to finishing around the rim.........at all. :deadrose:'s body control >>>>

If Wall can't get to the front of the rim when he's attacking, more often than not he's bricking it.
