I consider myself part of the broader black diaspora being that Im the lightest in my family (on my moms side) and I technically worshipped a black version of God in Olodumare (fukk yall Yahweh/Allah dikkriders) but I wouldnt consider myself African American at all... like I said I feel like I fall under the creole/mixed umbrella but since Im latino I get thrown under that H when thats not a race... I do fukk with American black ppl more than whites tho not even on some 'Im tryna be down shyt' but the first contact I had with true blue non hispanic white people was in college and they act just like the stereotypes 
buuuuuuut that being said I feel closer still culturally to say a Jamaican than a AA, having been 2 Kingston I actually felt right at home

Edit: basically what I mean to say is "latino" is not really a race. Not only that but certain sections of Latin America have thier own subculture. To me Dominicans do not have much in common with Central Americans and Mexican other than the Spanish Language
