If I wasnt Latino what race would I have to identify with?

Aight this is gonna be my first shot at a 'deep' TLR thread but here it goes...

You know how in the census they have the lil H for Hispanic? I was wondering why we all get grouped in the same category with each other when every Latino experience is different, and I realized it just racist to have every single person lumped in together cuz of the shared language and that doesnt make any sense... So I started thinking if I was 'pure-bred' American, if my only culture was American and I only spoke English and didnt know what the fukk an arroz moro con lechon y maduros was... Where would I be lumped in? I've posted my pic on the Coli but looking thru my photos Im like a fukking chameleon...

I have a sharp Arabic/White looking nose but my lips are thick and when Im pale my skin is like a yellowish-tan, when Im out in the sun alot its dark brown, my hair is curly and soft but heres the weird part, when I grow it out it the front of it is kinda 'tough' as you would expect from a darker skinned person but still not tough enough to be considered nappy or, shyt be looking like hair that just got unbraided all the time

My father side is all white latinos from what I can tell but they got a tan, almost dirty looking hue to them so they look Palestinian, with dark black straight hair... this is the tricky part

My mom side is completely mixed from both grandparents... my grandmas grandma was a slave, my grandma is light to the point she could pass for white but has a wide ass nose and 'nappy' hair, my grandfather (her husband) is dark skinned he looks like a mix of james earl jones and colin powell but he has straight soft hair... My mom is lightskinned like Alicia Keys is and her only brother from the same two parents is a dark like say Ice Cube, nikka had a jheri curl and all

Could I call myself Creole? Quadroon? Like real shyt if alot of us Latinos actually had to look at the color of our skin or our mixed heritage I think alot of us would find a new perspective on ourselves... all my Spanish ppl what would you consider yourself? White, Black, Indigenous, Asian, Mixed?

My skin is tricky. My skin looks fairly white right now because I'm usually always in door during the day and mostl go out at night so my skin doesn't touch much sun unless I'm out on the weekend. When I do get alot of sun my skin turns tan and I start looking Arabic. Especially since I have a big nose (like Nomar Garciaparra). If my skin were white I would probably pass as Italian since I have a big Italian looking nose but if I got sun I'd pass as Arabic since I get brown like a pinto bean. This was hard to answer.

Not all black people are the same. a kenyan immigrant and nikka that grew up in detroit are gonna much greater differences than some dude who is second generation mexican has with first generation mexicans. even white folks are lumped in with people they hate. jewish people and irish people check the same box but look at each other like when they are walking down the street.

the real problem comes for people who are combinations of two different categories. ie your mom is white but your dad is black. which box do you check?

Its like idk Americas whole concept of mixing is different to how they teach it in the islands... mulatto is a Spanish word and words like quadroon (cuarteron) or creole (criollo) even some shyt I never heard out here which is javao (light skinned person with African features, think Blake Griffin) and when you go 2 Cuba or Dominican Republic, PR, Brazil even places like Panama and parts of Colombia you see all types of ppl that would fit those categories... In Mexico and places like Nicaragua you got mestizos mixed with native heritage but America you got weird shyt like the one-drop rule that be confusing the shyt out out ppl, take a look at Zoe Saldaña and J.Lo for example... In Puerto Rico you would call both of them Mulatas just one is darker and the other is light... In America you could classify Zoe as black but ppl dont really do that for J.Lo, even tho they both got the same mixed ancestry its weird as fukk over here as far as race no wonder ppl so messed up about that in this country
