Canelo was showing slick defense in the fukking pocket...if a Fighter A walks Fighter B down and gets Fighter B against the ropes but misses most of the shyt he's throwing at Fighter B then how do you score it?
I go with the guy who showed great defense over the aggresive guy whose offense got muted by said defense.
Add to that the fact that Canelo landed more meaningful shots than GGG and I give a close decision to Canelo.
